Moneyball - 8/10
One of the best sport related films I've seen. Don't know loads about baseball but there's enough in there that could relate to the running of a lot of sports teams. Brad Pitt is great in it as well |

I tried the new Star Wars movie for about 20 minutes but just had no desire to see the outcome and gave up .. I must say it felt very , very similar to the last one ..

The Battery - 9/10
If you're a fan of the zombie genre then give this a watch! Along with Train to Busan, it's easily the best film from that genre in quite some time! But it is worth noting, that it's more a story about survival and how two people manage to survive each other, rather than out and out zombie action like most others. The Football Factory - 7/10
The Bay - 5.5/10 A bit harsh considering I was falling asleep during most of it, but I did enjoy it when I watched it a couple of years ago. Last edited by Babayaro.; 15-05-2020 at 11:06 PM. |

Why So Serious?
|
The Breakfast Club (1985)
Starring Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson and Paul Gleason. Five teenagers from different high school cliques spend one Saturday in detention. Although they all don't interact with each other at school, they begin to open up to each other and realise they all have things in common, such as all of them having poo relationships with their parents. This is the quintessential teen film, packed with excellent performances and arguably John Hughes' best film. |

Just finished watching American Graffiti, hadn't seen it for a few years and saw it was on so caught it and I fell in love with it all over again. Such a cool snapshot of an iconic time in American "teen" history.
That ending and epilogue describing the "fate" of the four main lads as Curt flies off to college though always hits me like a ton of bricks. Sad. I'd love if George Lucas revisited this genre someday and gave as a different "coming-of-age" story like this. Last edited by LaLaLand; 17-05-2020 at 03:16 AM. |

I watched Eli on Netflix last night.
7/10, maybe 8/10 not sure. A bit disturbing in places (reminded me of Stephen King's book The Institute) and also had shades of The Others. Quote:
