Default Maps

I'm really interested in maps. I love looking at them, I love owning maps and hanging them on walls, I love different representations of the same land mass (political maps, resource maps, population maps etc...) with different ways of presenting them (for example world flag maps, having a country's territory coloured in with that territory's flag)... anyone else have the same interests? I'm really into world geography and statistics about populations and that kind of thing!

Like I have a map of North Rhine Westphalia on my wall because I used to live in that area and I like having it on display to look at all the places I've been or never went to and wished I had and be able to talk about it with other people. Currently I'm reading about pipelines in Asia and I am interested in how they cross different countries, for example the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan line runs through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey and it's interesting to see what route the pipe takes to get from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.

Yeah I love atlases too, LikeABoatOnWater, I think there's something so fascinating about them, I just like studying maps, I don't know what it is exactly that fascinates me so much...

Yeah I'm interested in all of those things too! I like reading about secessionist movements within countries or minority groups who seek independence!
