Default dexters chinese whispers

the old game of Chinese whispers is a great one....tell a story to a group of people.....then invite a stranger in and ask one of the listeners to relay the story to the new arrival....then ask another person in and so it goes on....

by the time the story is done the story about William tell ends up being about a Isaac newton.....the misrepresentation and embellishment is incredible

one poster says 3 pages about dexters misrepresentation is sad....when sam said "don't feel you have to talk to me just because callums just left to dexters version ....."sam said go away"

so if I relay these words the way dexter does (lets call it dexterified for short)

is this poster basically calling me and all other people who back sam in this argument as sad barstewards.....

im going to now say I think dexter was a little foxy, cocky and sloppy here....if you want to dexterify that statement....maybe this can be relayed to all other male posters, that I called them cock floppy.....it means much the same thing doesn't it?

Is it heck racist... honestly. Silly but not racist at all.

I get fed up with this being bandied around.

sometimes it is referred to as 'the telephone game' I think that would be more acceptable. In this day and age words that mention a particular race in a negative way such as 'chinese whispers' is deemed as racist and offensive so isn't tolerated. We have to be careful in our choice of words.

Chinese whispers is just a saying . though i'm sure a lot of the hate out there has some racist motives to it.
Chinese people are lovely i hate the sneaky tag people try to put on them .
most are really nice people who put us to shame.

are you actually biting at the one person who defended you against racist accusations in here? right ok then......

it was a jokey gif, calm down. The last little paragraph of your opening post is random and garbled, nothing to do with it being too complex, I understand complex fine thank you.

Nothing to do with being sneaky.

Was called Russin scandal before that.

More to do with people not understanding what is whispered to them.

Anything said about another country or it's people or even refering to the country in a way like Chinese Whispers etc seems to be considered racist which I think is a shame. We have to walk round on egg shells in case we offend someone. Jemima was called to the DR and given a warning for saying that black guys or chinese guys were not her type when it comes to fancying men but it was made into a racist issue - so wrong.

yep, but these days political correctness exists and the game uses a race in a negative way, I feel your pain though, I feel it sometimes is taken way too far.

Am I missing something here? Are we saying that the old game 'Chinese whispers' is not politically correct anymore, and that we should refer to it as 'the telephone game' (since when did it involve a telephone?!!). I despair with society, really I do. I suppose German bulldog, kiss chase and marbles (I think I've lost mine) aren't pc either? No wonder kids don't know how to play outside and use their imagination anymore - they're thwarted by the pc brigade.

Sorry, went off topic a bit there.....

Its ridiculous. People try to find offense in absolutely everything. I thought it was only mad old biddies that did it, until I came on here.

You can't expect people to paraphrase what you said days ago. Why did Sam say that to only Dexter when the whole house ignores the bore? Sam had it for "the A$$hole!" now was the time for redemption.

Talking about Chinese whispers yourself, spinning what Dex said;

Dex; 'Don't talk to me now Callum has gone'

Sam; 'Don't feel the need to talk to me now Callum has gone'

Same bloody meaning!

Sam Callum & their fans construe what was said as an attack because Dexter spoke the truth and made Sam look like a plonker.

I once said on a forum about how hilarious I found a particular Irish joke and I got a real battering for it, some got really aggressive with me. I agree about the eggshells and we certainly have to put our brain into gear before we engage our mouths
