Patrick Robinson's diva behaviour has annoyed cast and crew on Strictly Come Dancing

And amazingly, it’s not just the other celebrities who want him gone – he seems to want out too.

The actor, 49, who plays Martin “Ash” Ashford in the BBC hospital drama, is said to “act like a Hollywood A-Lister’’ behind the scenes, not mingling with the other stars and dancers.

Strictly spies say he also has a fiery temper and has reduced his professional partner Anya Garnis to tears in the past with his hissy fits.

Last week Patrick injured his hand during training. He fell off some rollerblades while working on his salsa routine.

However, he never told bosses about the injury and when he did turn up for rehearsals, he kicked up a fuss about it.

It turned out to be a sprain and doctors dec*lared him fit to dance.

But insiders say he had the cheek to tell BBC bosses he didn’t want to risk “permanent damage’’ by dancing.

He appeared so desperate to get out of Saturday’s show he even tweeted to fans: “Might be out of competition!”

However, when Patrick did perform, he landed in the bottom two. The judges saved him and sent Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, 54, home.

But a show source said: “Everyone else on the show wishes they had sent Patrick packing.

“He is giving off vibes he’s had enough and, to be frank, there won’t be many tears when he goes.”

Last night a BBC spokeswoman said: “Patrick worked hard last week to change his routine after his injury. He loves dancing and wants to stay in as long as he can.”
