HER best friend will be rooting for Aisleyne as she battles with the other five finalists to win Big Brother tonight. For she has never forgotten how the big-hearted housemate once saved her from the streets.

Ebtissam Lachhab, 28, left her family home at six months pregnant because she was terrified her strict Muslim parents would disown her for having a baby.

Aisleyne - unemployed and struggling for cash herself at the time - put her up in her one-room hostel. She slept on a tiny couch, gave Ebtissam her bed and fed and supported her until she had her baby.


Her grateful friend is furious that Aisleyne, tipped by the Mirror as the finalist who most deserves to win, has been picked on by the other five.


She is up against Pete, Nikki, Glyn, Richard and Jennie. And Ebtissam, of Islington, North London, said yesterday: "They've all got it in for her. They're all acting like childish bullies.


"Richard is sly and sneaky and laughing at her behind her back. Even Glyn's been slagging her off. She deserves more respect. She's the most thoughtful, loyal friend anyone could wish for. I got pregnant when I was 21. Aisleyne gave me her bed and fed me. She was my birthing partner, then godmother to my son Kieran who's now six.


"She also supported me when my mum died. She's my saviour. She's had a tough life herself and has worked very hard to get a flat and a bit of money.


She deserves to win Big Brother." Sadly for t h e c l o s e friends, Aisleyne, 27, has come third in jackpotjoy.co.uk's poll of the most-hated BB contestants of all time. Glyn, 18, was voted second favourite housemate ever after BB3's Jade Goody. Last night the lifeguard - who has won a university place with good A-levels - was second favourite to win behind Pete.
