This is not a house of ordinary people. It's a place of ignorant unlikeable unfamous fools and I'm on the right track by not watching it.

Oh really. For using the word 'bent'. Are the producers just all overly sensitive gay men?

Is bent really offensive? (excuse my ignorance) I suppose it's probably used in a negative manner but Heterosexual people are regularly referred to as straight?

When I read the title I assumed he probably dropped the F Bomb. I'll wait to see it tonight in the highlights I suppose. It doesn't look too malicious just reading it tbf.

Shhhh don't be trying to apply such silly notions as "logic" to these sorts of discussions. Heterosexual people are both "straight" and "hetero". Homosexual people are NEVER "bent" or "homo". That's just the rules.

Also, lulz at Evander's son "defending his dad" with this gem:
"He treats everyone like a human being… even if they are homosexual." . Even if, eh. |

No worse than 'bent' to be honest, ha.
It just seems like a silly thing for singular words to be taken out and used to warn them. Hardly the most offensive thing in the world, especially when you compare it to Evanders comments the other night. Just seems to be another thing the producers are doing for the sake of showing support for gays and creating some form of drama so the media can hook onto it for 5 minutes. |

"Have you ever sucked your own"?
....is a level of conversation that will not be making me tune in. |

I get the impression that the others aren't rule breaks, just a level of "casual" swearing in general that means entire normal conversations are off limits for the HL show (as even after the watershed, there are guidelines on "excessive, unnecessary" swearing before 11pm).

Hmm.. Bent isn't a word I would use personally as I do think it's normally used in quite a derogatory way... And I have to say I'd find it slightly offensive if somebody in my company used it I don't know really.. How do the gay forum members feel about this word?

Seems unfair that they showed Holyfield's warning to the nation and not the Dappy incident.

Round here, people use bent as a term for people who are a bit dodgy....not gay. Like someone who sells things off the bak of a lorry would be classed as a bit bent!

Maybe thats why "bent" is considered offensive when refering to gays ..because it's refering to someone who is gay as shady /dodgy.
