[The Labour MP Paul Goggins has died after
collapsing while out jogging with
his son just after Christmas.
The former minister and MP for
Wythenshawe and Sale East, 60,
who had been enjoying the festive
season at home with his wife, Wyn,
and three children had emergency
surgery following the brain haemorrhage.
However, a statement from his family,
who were at his bedside when he died,
today confirmed the death
of the incredibly popular politician.
They said: "We are completely heartbroken.
He had been very ill since collapsing last week.]
