I had meant to have posted this earlier last year, since I know that a few TiBB members still use XP, but official support for Windows XP ends this April. What does this mean? Basically, there will no longer be any future updates past April for Windows XP, meaning it will be easy to hack and break into. It is suggested you update to a more recent Windows OS, such as Windows 7.

XP was a revolutionary operating system in its time and for many years after. Windows 7 is far superior though, it's not perfect but it has way more functionality and supports so much more than XP does. Anyway, if you upgrade your OS and miss XP too much you can always make a virtual machine to run XP on.

Yeah, I'd definately try to update to Windows 7, rather than 8. Windows 7 is basically XP, but a little bit more updated.

Anyone with a Windows XP
should fined a page from Microsoft
which says you can upgrade to Windows 8.1 on Windows XP

I assume that would take a long time
