Quand il pleut, il pleut

Their marriage was thought to be one of the strongest in Hollywood
But Antonio Banderas And Melanie Griffith have shocked fans after it emerged that they have separated and plan to divorce. Say it isn't so! After nearly two decades together, the A-listers have gone their separate ways and are making it official, according to US website TMZ. A source claims that 56-year-old actress has already filed for divorce from her third husband, 53, citing irreconcilable differences, using attorney to the stars Laura Wasser. Apparently the website has obtained documents showing that Melanie is seeking spousal support from Antonio, although no date of separation was listed While the couple, who have a daughter together, have faced break-up rumours in the past, they were always very vocal about the fact that they loved each other and were staying together. Speculation was sparked as recently as last month when the Spanish actor was reportedly spotted cosying up to a gorgeous French actress Natalie Burn during the Cannes Film Festival. But while neither Antonio or Melanie defended their relationship, the actress' sister told RadarOnline that they were still together. And Melanie seemed to reiterate the fact that all was well in her marriage by stepping out in public just days later with her gold wedding band VERY visible. Hmm Just a few months ago the couple were spotted holidaying together in the Bahamas - with Melanie even tweeting romantic snaps of the pair! What went so wrong?! While the high-profile couple have always maintained that their relationship was rock solid, they're admitted to having their fair share of problems. Melanie publicly battled skin cancer in 2009 and has been in and out of rehab throughout her marriage due to an addiction to painkillers Antonio admitted that his wife's addiction put a strain on their marriage but claimed that it also made them stronger. Back in 2011, he said: "We've have had as many problems as anybody. We've never hidden it, "We've been open about addictions, in the case of Melanie. She has overcome her problems beautifully "I didn’t know she was so strong. It makes me love her even more, because she has been an unbelievable lion fighting, and she got it. The last [relapse] was three years ago, and it just welded us." When the couple met and fell in love on the set of Too Much back in 1995, Melanie was married to Don Johnson and Antonio was married to first wife Ana Leza .... |

It is sad but I am never now surprised at celebrity marriages going to the wall,it almost seems inevitable now.
