Default Helen (and Pauline) set the tone for the series

Due to their incredibly strong personalities and power positions (Pauline as PH, Helen as immune until final) that became apparent right off the bat.

They certainly fit BB's bill as the perfect housemates for a 'Power Trip' edition (as the promo with Emma & Rylan stated: "Everyone's so nice nowadays" and they want the ruthless, the nasty)

They proved themselves as a strong presence in the show almost immediately, with Pauline voted as 'the public's favorite' and given power and immunity - and Helen who was granted a pass to the final on Day 2. Not to mention, before even entering the house, both had a quasi-celebrity status.

Both have dominated and heavily influenced the social dynamic of the house during their stay. Pauline and Helen formed cliques and publicly outcasted other members of the group in a vocal and consistent manner (targeting Jale, Christopher, Danielle, and others - who then became 'outcasts').

Their behavior has dramatically impacted the house dynamics, and have become the most discussed housemates both inside and outside of the house.

Now, of course, Pauline is gone. However, Helen and her essentially indestructible presence is still in the house, being the core perpetrator of the general mood of the house.

Do you think BB will make the effort to revoke Helen's pass, if the negative mood and stark social divisions continue on to the dismay of viewers? Or is that too much production meddling?

In my opinion, the pass was kind of a bad idea in the first place, clearly not one that was well thought out. Perhaps they could have prepared for this though, and planned a twist from the start that could potentially revoke it.

They did. It could have been so different without them.

I think the pass was a great idea and the right person got it. Helen (whether you like her or not) is carrying this series. People tune in to see what she is going to go crazy over next. I struggle to think where the entertainment would come from if she wasn't there. Apart from Mark.

I fear for the last few weeks of the series when probably it will be Marlon, Christmas and bloody Matthew. God that would be fascinating.

I disagree about Helen being what everyone tunes in for. She's ruining the series for me. This week, I only watched the eviction show, because I knew the weekly round up would cover the basics and - frankly - I couldn't stand to watch 6 more hours of that crusty ***** flapping her gums.

To put that in context; I haven't missed an episode of big brother before... Ever. Not one, since the launch night of the first show. This week I deliberately skipped 5.

What other storylines in there would you like to see then? Nothing else really happens.

I think it just goes to show how poor of a series this one is when people are considering Helen the star performer!!! How low can things go ?

We need to do a late era Channel 4 and throw 5 new ones in there. Bring some fun back to the house and wake these delusional miserable ****ers up.

They should take it off her a a week before the finale so she has her own eviction and her boo's don't completely destroy what should be a positive atmosphere at the final.
