I am glad he has changed his mind
[Former archbishop lends his support to campaign to legalise right to die Carey says assisted dying proposal is way of preventing 'needless suffering' and helping terminally ill 'not anti-Christian'] http://www.theguardian.com/society/2...dying-proposal Of Course it needs to go careful making sure anyone is not trying to get someone terminated for profit. I'm all for euthanasia, why it hasn't been implemented sooner legally is beyond me. If the sufferer is of sound mind and makes that decision to allow somebody else end their life then why not allow it? Even if there's a legal process to go through it's still permission and all above board. Nobody should be MADE to suffer needlessly.

That's very enlightened of George Carey. So long as legal safeguards are in place to protect people, I can't imagine why anyone would be against it.

There's going to have to be a huge ethical mountain to climb, who in the caring profession is going to be tasked with this?
I don't care what the church, the politicians or the public say, what does the medical profession have to say on this issue?
