True, usually where I go there are also baptisms done within the 'regular' Easter Sunday Mass too so that adds a lot more time to it I guess too.

However, my family like to go to the whole Easter run of services, starting with the Thursday evening where the washing of feet takes place, the Good Friday Passion, with the veneration of the cross included and then the Easter vigil too on the Saturday night.

All of those run in excess of an hour and a half.I have never known them last for anything less than that.

I question everything about history. Whether he was real or not doesn't matter to me. I just think he was a good egg. Real egg or mythical egg? Good egg

I have read and studied quite a lot on Christianity. Not read all of the OT but have read all the NT a few times.

Most of it is Churchianity, ie made up by the individual branches of faith.

Same is true, though, of Judaism, Islam etc. Most of the "rules" are add-ons.

Most of the main themes are present in most cultures at that time and the whole messaih ressurection thing was very popular.

I mean come on. Do unto others.. love thy neighbour. Dont kill

Most civilisation's had worked that out long before baby jesus came along.

I don't like any of the religions. I don't like the actual concept of having religion. It belongs in biblical times. Time for the Vulcan revolution

If you look at the character of Horus in pre-Christian Egyptian civilisation, the similarities to Jesus are striking.

I'm doing RE for GCSE and Christianity has many denominations such as Catholic, each believe in the same thing but have different takes and choice to do some things differently and ignore certain elements of the religion.

They include. Church of England (Which most people think of being Christian), Catholics, Orthodox, Quakers, Salvation Army, ETC.

So Danielle is Christian but to be specific she is part of the Catholic Denomination.

Correct.
Most religions throughout history are based on nothing more than the story of the sun and the stars and how they effect us.
The section on religion in the Zeitgeist film is hated by religious folk as it shows what a farce religion is. Jesus christ is just the newest in a long line of misinterpreted rubbish.

edit: I respect anyone that holds belief in any religion and object to them being singled out for holding that belief at the same time i have my beliefs when it comes to religion and we all have the right to that.

Aren't you gay and apparently now Christian too? Isn't that as contradictory as a webcam Christian girl?

I was raised Catholic and since I was 13 5hought something was fishy about it. Right now I am no religion as I don't think they are totally necessary but do help people.

I know Jesus was a guy sent here and grew up as a normal human being. He had a different name and what he achieved here was 'Christ Consciousness.' That's why people believe he literally 'opened the gates of heaven.' There is a very important meaning behind Christ. It's like a special phrase that actually helps you connect with energies and frequencies. Have you ever wondered why monks saud 'ooooommmmm' that is another word that helps that.

Religion muddies things up and helps put people into fancy limited belief systems that limits their potential.
All you need to know is that Jesus Christ taught unconditional love as that is all that exists after death. Love is universal.
