Default I am SOOOOOOO BORED

can we please PLEASE just end this ridiculous moaning about all the twists.

The producer have a show to make

To make a show you need drama

To make Drama you need a) conflict b) jeopardy

To get both you need a Villain and a hero

By NOT REVOKING Helens pass we are ensured a villain right to the end. If they had buckled and Helen was evicted midway through the series we would be left with a WOEFUL dynamic.

All the bores. All the fence sitters.

Ashleigh is only as good as her rival. Helen MAKES ashleigh.

By putting Ashleigh in the line of fire it ensures the show has some jeopardy.

The twists have been brilliant.

I LOVE that control to evict isn't always in the public hands

Because lets face it wether it be VOTE TO SAVE (Bianca) or VOTE TO EVICT (Toya) THE PUBLIC ALWAYS GET IT WRONG!

I LOVE that it been so unpredictable. That a lot of the housemates are genuinely conniving and manipulative.

I LOVE that the rug keeps being pulled from under me with nominations and evictions.

I LOVE that the house dynamics aren't typical to an average BB season.

My favourite has changed almost daily.

Its been one of the most interesting and brilliant series of BB for years.

Because the producers are dropping their ideas to sate the masses.

Because they're not pandering to public outcry.

Because they're sticking by there guns and doing whats best for the show long term.

Pandering to public opinion can only lead to disaster. We would be left with a house of bores

And youd have something else to moan about.

Some of you are never ever ever ever ever happy And I'm bored to tears with petitions, protests, protest votes and the likes...

If you don't like it then don't watch it

You could try supporting the show you signed up to the forums to discuss.

I think this too, some people take it very seriously, but it's only a tv show at the end of the day. Would we see people saying the same stuff about other show, like great British bake off etc?! it's just an entertainment show at the end of the day, it's the same as any reality tv show.

Yes it's changed, but you can't say that this kind of 'producer meddling' hasn't been going on for years? It has in every show. It's just a fact.

Just because you've enjoyed how everything has gone, that doesn't mean everyone else has to. If someone has an opinion (yes, even if it's a negative one), they have a right to speak their mind here. It's a discussion board, after all.

Selecting Ashleigh as a housemate was a big mistake.

Going for that thinking now.

Danielle stood up to Helen way more than Ashleigh has ever done.

Still don't get it.

I was personally happy with each of the evictions until the Armageddon week. That wasn't fair because Marlon and Danielle didn't get a public vote. Just because they don't have an army of fans doesn't mean they don't have any fans. Their fans would have voted to save them in previous evictions only to see them get booted out without public vote.
If want to have a show where housemates evict each other fine, but I don't think it's fair to mix it up.

Love that comment and the sad thing is you are spot on as to it too. A classic series this will never go down as for me, it has been in fact an ordeal to watch.

I love BB but this series, all we have had are conversations as to noms and who has the power,it has gone on and on every week and although maybe with a bit more freedom and continuity, this at best fair bunch of housemates may have become entertaining in some ways.
The stifling of the series meddling with noms and evictions by BB, has utterly and totally destroyed any chance this series had of being even very good let alone be a classic.

I really hope for a far better production next year.

Great post and as much as Ihave been saying ( or at leat parts of it)

I would go one step further and allow the ones that have been the mainstay of the program the chance to win the crown rather than the usual scenario where the supposed beaten and damned get the sympathy vote each year.

Only ever seen it with Charlotte.

Normally the GBP never like skanky, bed wetters. promiscuous types but she won.

The exception to the rule i feel. Just NO one better that year. Which was sad.

Difference is, before the Channel 5 days producers didn't need to create these 'heros and villians'. Things such as stupid 'twists' and exposation weren't constantly shoved down our throats and live feed helped viewers to get a grasp of what each housemate was actually like. It's desperation.

They didn't need because there live feed.

We saw the natural progression of storylines

They have an hour a day to create narrative, drama and jeopardy! Its completely different these days
