Yes, but it makes him slightly more popular in the house for winning them a prize just before they have to nominate.

Why not do a task involving everyone?

I doubt him winning some treats will change anyone's mind about nominating him tbqh, the most obvious for being nominated are Christopher, Pav and Chris anyway IMO.

If Ash got nominated today, the chances of him being evicted must be very small, far bigger fish there to fry (hopefully)

I have every confidence that even if Pav is up this week, as he most surely will be, that there will be a big name also up that people have been waiting patiently to get rid of.

If he hadn't a task someone else would, BB are surprising at times as to who gets tasks but it has always been that way.
I read nothing at all into Ash getting one at this point.
