Default Do you think the noise in the bedroom is disrespectful?

Is it disrespectful for the noise in there each night when some are sleeping, despite being asked not to for 3 nights in a row? Or should the elders expect to have noise as it is BB and this is what they signed up for?

Disrespectful.

They should all have the opportunity to be able to do as they please.

The bedroom is for sleeping, other housemates have the rest of the house if they want to mess around and make noise. Doing it in the bedroom is just out of order.

Anywhere but the Big Brother house, yes. If you expect to go to sleep at 11pm whilst living there and have a sound nights sleep all of the time you shouldn't go in.

Plus I'd rather in situations like this they continue it because it winds other housemates up and that's never a bad thing

It's certainly inconsiderate. They can make all the noise they want in the garden, the pod, or the kitchen. Note to future contestants--bring in ear plugs.

It's very disrespectful if someone is sleeping in the bedroom & people are making a noise they have the rest of the house to do what ever they like, they shouldn't go into the bedroom unless the are ready to go to bed.

Its an age thing i think. Im old so sleep is much more important to me now then when i was younger. If i dont get a good 7 hours or so then Im wrecked next day.
When youre younger you can get away with it more.
The youngsters just want to play and party til the early hours whereas the older ones want to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
Agree that the young ones can make all their noise outside of the bedroom but you know what its like a)when youve maybe had a drink and b) someone tells you NOT to do something-the rebel in you makes you want to do it more.
So yes, disrespectful in a way, but also understandable.
Id hate it. Id be like Leslie

..yeah I agree with this, it's just different things people want and need and sleep is important and also the fun aspect is as well which is fuelled by alcohol sometimes so 'sensibilities' don't always come into play....but that doesn't mean they're inconsiderate people, just the way of alcohol...

..it's kind of a 50/50 thing isn't it..?...in the real world/in their lives, like us they have expectations and needs in terms of sleep etc but in a BB house and when agreeing to go in those have to be totally flexible I think...

A typical response from a young person incapable of seeing if from any other perspective then their own.

If BB choose to put much older hms in there, then they have as many rights as anyone else. Lack of sleep for older hms can be detrimental to their health as well as spoiling their experience, singleing them out for unfiar treatment from young stupid hms who don't have the intelligence or abiliity to understand the negative effects of sleep deprivation on them.

Yes, I think once the lights go out people should be allowed to sleep if they want to and those who want to stay up and mess around should do so in another part of the house.

I'm not young, but I agree with Jack in the sense of 'they knew what they signed up for'. You're not going to get a nice quiet night's sleep.. It is going to be rowdy.

Obviously I'd be like bear with a sore arse if I didn't get my sleep, but I wouldn't go in to the BB house and expect any peace.

Yes, if I was in there and got woken up by noise when most were trying to sleep or were asleep, then I would ask nicely for them to tone it down, itf that didn't work then I would really go off it.
A bedroom, nowhere, is not the place for endless noise unless it is solely your own bedroom, than that is up to you.

Yes. the house is big enough to party away from the bedroom. Anyway, a big fight could kick off due to lack of sleep.

Excuse me? You know nothing about me, stop commenting on my age thank you

I never once singled out older housemates specifically either, it's not always them that go to bed early and expect a sound nights sleep so stop putting towards into my mouth too. Once again, seeing as you seemed to read past this important point I made for some reason - anywhere but the Big Brother house it's disrespectful and out of order, but in that house on a TV show it's a completely unique experience and to expect everyone to be quiet every night for 10 weeks is ridiculous. You aren't going to sleep the best in the Big Brother house and anyone signing up should know that, if you want to sleep well don't go into the house. That's it.

That should be everyone wants to sleep well. It's not a choice, its for medical reasons.

The bedroom is one room in the house. If people want to talk, piss around or whateer, do it in another part of the house. Does going into BB have to equate to ignorance and lack of consideration for others at all times?

People's need to sleep should be respected by all so that everyone can make the most of their experience in there. Tbh BB should take a firmer line on this for the sake of the health of some hms if they are going to put in people of 70 and over. Equally, anyone with half a brain, of whatever age, should naturally demonstrate some consideration for people of this age. Being such an ignorant arse, as some hms show themselves to be, doesn't win any respect from me.

Yes, it's disrespectful but it's likely to happen.
As it's Big Brother - just because it's likely to happen doesn't mean that people have to suffer it quietly - it's big brother - they can complain if they like too!

It's all part of the experience otherwise BB would give them separate bedrooms.

I remember when there was a female bedroom and a male one. They did away with that (in BB5 I believe) to increase the friction (which subsequently worked).
