Default If One Direcion won, would they have been as successful?

Do you think if one direction won their series they would have received the same success.

Winners aren't always very sucessfful...

Thanks to Littlegreen for my lovely sig

It would be the same. They were being signed by Syco regardless and
What Makes You Beautiful would still most likely have been their debut.

'Not winning' is certainly an advantage for some acts who're very particular about their...err... 'direction'. I don't think 1D are in that category.

Season 11 Faves: Nina, Brooke, A'Keria, Silky, Shuga & Mercedes

Think the only real advantage of not winning is getting your music out quicker and people won't forget who you are, unlike most winners who've had to wait 9-12 months for some reason

Yes, but their success would have been quicker and wouldn't have taken a year.
