CELEBRITY Big Brother chiefs have called in the A-Team for their latest series.

US actor Dirk Benedict – who played the master of disguise Face in the smash-hit 1980s TV show – has signed up to take part.

And even though no-one took The A-Team too seriously, the 60-year-old actor is very proud of his part in its success. He said: “We all made it much funnier than it was and much more politically incorrect than it was intended to be.

“All the liberals in Hollywood hated it. They hated the cigars, the guns, the bravado – and the fact we thought that we were right all the time.”

Sci-fi fans will also remember handsome Dirk as Starbuck, the fun-loving pilot from the Battlestar Galactica TV show.

A Channel 4 source said: “Getting one of the A-Team is a major coup for us.”

The show starts its 25day run on Wednesday, January 3.

Other big names in line to appear are Paul Michael Glaser, 63 – who played Starsky in 1970s TV cop show Starsky and Hutch – and singer Michael Jackson’s 51year-old brother Jermaine.

Also tipped to take part are former Labour MP and TV host Robert Kilroy-Silk, 64; Daily Star Page 3 favourite Leilani, 27, and 29-yearold trans-sexual antiques dealer Lauren Harries.

And the hit show’s producers are rumoured to have signed up two major Bollywood movie stars for a surprise guest appearance.
