This is a poor election for Labour, the swing they need, looking at the results in detail, to just get to be the largest party is going to be difficult.
The right leader has to be chosen this time with great scrutiny and care too.

Yes well he part of New Labour
a team that won elections.

And all this care for the leader
went on before
until the Unions Fixed the Vote

Unions are destroying Labour

Was on with JP 5 live this am and made a lot of good points, he will be a hot fave in the weeks to come perhaps

He was doing a fine job distancing himself from ED and his d#miserable failed campaign

Yes and he went on with Big JP after that and did the same with Tristram Hunt in agreement.

Ed ignored the lower middle class wealth creators with his crap foodbank and zero hours policies.

Wealth creators? households are an average of £1100 worse off, as well as the million so poor they rely on charity to eat ... where's the wealth?

I must say I have one thing to thank Ed for...the harmony in this house come election time.
Normally hubby and son take the Labour stand, and last time around I voted Tory.
However, this election they were both first time Tory voters, voting for the party of the working man, as against the none working man. How can we have a Labour Party that makes workers feel like this?

I don't believe he did 'forget' to speak to anyone.... He addressed the nation on television, he had plenty of ideas for small businesses, he told that tory plant in the audience in Leeds remember?

I heard one lady describe the labour party as " The party for the sit down and do nothing " party, now that shouldn't be the way they are seen but I can see where she was coming from tbh.

Rudd and Javid are good choices, I cannot stand Priti Patel however.

Boris, another one that cannot be trusted, he said he would always see his Mayoral period out before any return to the Commons.
