A group of MPs call for easing immigration rules to secure free trade agreement with India

Lol what will those who hoped for reducing immigration after Brexit say?

They likely will have to as well Twosugars.

Likely not just with India either.

It was a really odd time.
I canvassed in the referendum campaign with others from all Parties.

The abuse was both awful and scary at times.

The scaremongering on both sides wrecked the real debate there ought to have been.

Despite the hostility, I still felt remain could have won.
I was sure all those wanting leave would go out and vote for sure.
However I wasn't convinced those wanting remain would.

It was an atrociously bad planned referendum and it's why I have not wanted one and still kind of dread another.
However, I do now think, with all everyone has witnessed over the last 3 years now.
Plus with all we know now too.

I would now support another vote, with all the negativity and problems it could cause to do so.
So as a Labour member, I hope Labour is forced to back one by the membership.

Corbyn doesn't want one but I hope he's forced to accept one.

Some supporters of a hard no deal Brexit like the fact that rights EU immigrants, (As we should now refer to EU Nationals) were in the withdrawal agreement that will now never pass.

Running with this scenario this means that no EU Immigrant will have the right to work, so employers will have no option but to sack them on the spot the day we leave with no deal 31 October, leaving the jobs for proper British workers.

Also EU Immigrants will have no rights to rent any housing so will have to be evicted the day we leave the EU with no deal meaning more homes for our army veterans forced to sleep on the streets.

Children of EU immigrants will not be allowed to attend schools, giving more places for children of proper British parents.

If any British person had married an EU immigrant, that marriage will be declared bogus and null and void, any children declared illegitimate and classed as not British

The Brexiteers I have met want all EU immigrants deported along with any bastard offspring from annulled marriages to British subjects as soon as we leave the EU with no stinking deals.

Well when I put that harsh vision to them of a no deal Brexit, they whole heartedly welcome it.

So what does that say about supporters of a No Deal Brexit, which is now guaranteed by Boris the nex PM.

it has become exactly that though Arista. They are pandering to the wishes of 160K people that don't reflect the wider electorate. The aren't interested in the well being of the population, they are only interested in doing whatever it takes to be the next PM. If that means promising the earth without a care to how it can be achieved then they will do it

What an insulting, childish thing for them to do. It's embarrassing...

That said, bit of a stretch to compare them with the Nazi party.
