Last series we had man hating and BBOTS saying that they've “got no balls” in the first week, then in this series we've had anytime that a woman dares standup to a man they're automatically in the wrong even if they're a complete dickhead (Marc) or a manipulative slimeball (Nick) plus there are other prejudices like.

1. That nearly all of the early evictees/ejectee was different from the straight white middle class Housemate.

2. All of the black contestants was deliberately targetted by BB within the first two weeks.

3. Aaron was ejected for thrusting Joel, yet Marc wasn't for doing the same to Danny only a few days later.

4. No contestant above 33 years of age can get past the first 4 single evictions.

5. If you're not one of the “beautiful” people you're a cert to be villainised and more than likely to be gone before the final.

6. Ch5 very rarely put in Asian contestants to even compete in the series, which considering BB's concept of all different walks of life having to live into a house together 24/7 a day is really appalling from Ch5 to not represent it more.

7. Any left wing Housemate is treated as a loony, while all of the right wing Housemates are treated as national heroes by Ch5.

I'm sorry for the long post, but it's really bugging me as most of this wasn't like this in the Ch4 days, but then again we had Live Feed on the Ch4 days.

What do you guys think? Are Ch5 prejudiced?

How did we have man hating last series when almost every woman cast was involved in the entertainment business or sex industry. This has always been a show that hates women and it's just gotten worse since the channel switch.

But yes, C5 is obviously prejudiced, like the channel literally just used to be Richard Desmond pushing his absurd right-wing tabloid agenda with programs to exploit people on benefits and whatnot, putting them in the spotlight for us to point and laugh at and hate.

It's a 50-50 thing for me on this, I agree that the public should be wise enough to ignore their blatant efforts, but it's very hard when all you've got is 45 minute highlight shows to base your opinions off.

Fantastic post Mock, one of the best you've ever posted. I agree with everything. Really great to see you bring up the point about Asians too. I don't believe Channel 5 have had a single eastern asian housemate ever.

If the public can't see the manipulation by now I really despair yet it seems 45 minutes is enough to whip the public into a voting frenzy to get X out, usually so that "they can see the expression on their face", this week is a classic example, Sam has not featured in the highlights so she is perfectly safe, so basically she has contributed zero to the "entertainment" but the public will keep her in, I literally give up

They've definitely become more biased during BB15 and 16. The editing since 4in4out went back to the BB15 format of favouriting certain HMs.

I think the main problem is that it's being treated more like an entertainment show and less like a reality show. It's taken more of a TOWIE/Geordie Shore route, which defeats the purpose of the show.

Actually you're right, I beleive he was was half asian. Still, 5 years in and so few Asians is appalling. To add to your age thing, I hate how the only older people they seem to pick lately (Pauline, Simon,Eileen) have all been involved in the media before which is such an incredibly narrow representation of people in the older bracket.

The only reason this series is dead on its knees in my opinion is because the quadruple eviction got rid of 4 girls and at this stage we have a male dominant house which is good and all if Channel 5 were able to cast decent men

And yet 9/15 civilian winners have been male, 9/15 celebrity winners have been male and the winners of Teen Big Brother, Celebrity Hijack and Ultimate Bg Brother have been male.
