Leon must be a closet case... saying how uncomfortable he felt wearing the makup and that it was 'unnatural'....

Series 7 is such a slow burner. Like, it takes a good few episode for the characters to draw you in. The first two episodes of Series 7 basically suck but my interest is growing episode by episode now and I look forward to Week 6, an iconic episode, with Zoe's well-deserved meltdown And Susan starting to scalp her |

Three episodes into Series 8 and I'm still shook they produced such a bad series. The cast is just dreadful. I had it in my head the first two episodes were okay, but they're just bland upon re-watch. And the reason is the cast.
Of the males, Adam, Ricky (although I think he grows on me?), Stephen, Tom, Azhar, Michael are alllll boring trash in the first three episodes. That's six out of eight. And Nick and Duane aren't amazing. And of the females, Bilyana was great, Maria was absolutely awful. Jane is so cold, but not in an entertaining way, Jade is a bit of a non-entity so far, as are Laura and Jenna. Katie's awful. Gabrielle is the only good one. HANDS DOWN the WORST cast in Apprentice history, by a mile. |

Lol S12 is probably my second fave out of the series I've watched (S7-S13), only S9 is superior

I thought the cast of 12 was really awful too, and the first few episodes were dull too, but like they were totally incompetent too. Somehow I really don't remember much of the later episodes, so I can't have been paying much attention, but I oook forward to re-watching it.

12 I'd possibly rank it in my top 5? For a while I was of the seemingly common opinion that it started off slow (bar the jeans episode) and that a lot of the early boots were deadwood, with the quality seriously picking up towards the end, but on reflection only JD and Samuel were deadwood. Even Aleksandra, who had maybe a minute of collective airtime in total, had her lolrandom quit <3 Sure, some of the cast were essentially caricatures, cough Karthik cough, but the final eight or so had such a good assortment of characters and even a few truly likeable people that it felt worth it.
(the endgame remains one of my favourite endgames ever, but some things never change) |

you guys make me wanna watch Series 12 and get it
I'm ready for the Jessica Cunningham experience I think what happened for me that in RTV terms I was totally distracted by Survivor. And so I found Week 2 to be ridiculously bad, and then I found Weeks 3-6 REALLY lacklustre, and then I fell behind by a few weeks by which point my enthusiasm had vanished. Does anyone actually thjnk the episodes in the first half were good? |

Episode one is bad, episode two is an amazing cluster**** and episodes 3-7 aren't necessarily the most memorable, but there are some hidden gems in there (episode 4 and episode 6 aka The Rebecca Jeffery Experience are probably my favourites of that stretch) and they're enjoyable once you know how the season pans out
The episode 8-10 stretch is a contender for my favourite run of consecutive episodes ever |

well I've chosen this specific hill to die on so here goes nothing
Episode 8 is series villain Paul's epic downfall at the hands of the women, specifically Frances and Jessica, who put on one of the best combined boardroom performances in the history of the show to give his ass the boot. Nebula self-destructing in the middle of their party, in full view of the guests The fact that all of this was happening whilst over on Titans, the only source of drama was Dillon having a singsong with a mermaid and then making Grainne and Courtney walk around London speaking to terrified tourists dressed as a mermaid and a gay pirate respectively Episode 9 is a legitimately fun and creative episode in which a group of fully-grown adults decided that the one concept that the gaming world was crying out for was 'Gordon's Lost His Badger' Episode 10 is the iconic (at least, in my mind) gin episode and I could be here all night singing its praises. The fact that a group of fully-grown adults decided that 'Colony Gin' would be an appropriate name in the slightest, or that they thought it would be wise to colour it bright orange, or that they thought that Africa was India, or the fact that a group of fully-grown adults decided that 'Giin' would be a good name for a gin brand because "you share it with friends" Grainne getting pissed and missing 19 calls from Frances Trishna nearly breaking the easel in the middle of their pitch Alana's "it was a bloody waffle-off" "FINAL FIVE, FINAL FIVE... sorry" Alana, Jessica and Courtney somehow being a winning team and getting their own private helicopter ride, which Alana went on record as absolutely hating every minute of "I was getting harassed by Bonnie and Clyde in the other car " Frances randomly bursting in at the end shouting "HEY BITCHES" The worst one left getting fired A near-perfect episode. 12 definitely has the best firing order of any TA series imo. The best 4 all being in the final 5

Also yeah Series 8 is atrocious and it's sort of odd that they managed to get it so wrong right after producing one of the best series (7) and then went on to produce the best series ever (9), a year later.

I sort of always forget that series 8 exists and it's probably for the best that it stays that way
