Default Have you ever quit your job?

If so how? Because I'm gonna quit my job tomorrow, I'm just gonna say I have to much college work to do.

I hate my job so much it's gone past the stage of caring about the money.

Yeah, just do a short letter saying you are giving your notice and saying thanks for the opportunity to work there. (the last part helps if you need to go back to them for a reference one day).

Only once, many years ago.
I simply walked to my locker and took my stuff out, young mr boss asked me what I was doing, I told him I was leaving so that I didn't ever have to pee with him standing outside the door timng me to make sure I wasn't shirking..I also told him his father was an obnoxious sexist, his mother was a drunkard who couldn't keep her hands off us young girls after her liquid lunches and they were all up their own backsides.

It's just a cafe though, and I'm only part time so I'm not gonna bother with a letter

Have left a few normally by giving them the required noticed period.

Have walked out of a couple telling them to shove it.

And I wont be in my current job much longer and when I do leave I will be telling the boss in no uncertain terms exactly what I think of him and the way he treats his staff.

But Lily gave you the best advice, youre young and could probably do with some references in the future, give your work some notice even if its only a week.

Yes, I quit to go to uni full time.

I spoke to my manager about it and then handed in a short letter of resignation.

I haven't ever had to give notice but I can imagine it's awkward to do if you're not exactly on bad terms with your boss. I'd just ask if it was okay to have a word when they aren't busy and explain it then.

I've written two letters of resignation and cried both times handing them in. I felt guilty but I was also so relieved that it was finally happening and I guess all the emotions just came out.

Yes, but I regretted it immediately. I was lucky enough to get my old job back and for that I will always be grateful.

No, but this one with my agency at my Dad's place is making me want to (but I think I'd get sanctioned off benefits if I outright quit and I don't have any other options rn job wise, well I do with the agency I guess if I tell them my circumstances) I'm telling them after a couple more weeks that it's not for me, the staff barely acknowledge me and when they do it's like 'urgh he's so slow at his job kmt' and it's just not for me, I can't handle the work load and the hours are ****, I'm not getting home until midnight.
