This for me, well observed I would say.

Andy had a very strong point indeed but made too much of it,however in that house everything remotely possibly offensive, even in a small way, must get magnified.

It was made far worse by Hughie's more verbal reaction and then too with Chelsea sticking his nose in again too.
Add in to that Laura too for her rushing to tittle tattle.

Any controversial issue would get exploded out of all proportion with all that many people getting in on it.

I mean the prank was cringe af tbf but Andy totally over reacted there.

in that madhouse, with those people, there was NEVER going to be an appropriate time. it's hughie and ryan, shallow as a puddle but their ''joke'' was aimed AT andy for airtime and they wouldn't have even realised that what they were saying/doing was offensive for other reasons. andy definitely needs to step back and let others be what they are (to a large extent) because he can't get everyone to see what's right in front of their eyes. as this forum and BBBoTs illustrates to a T.

Erm, no. I think it's disgusting that someone is trying to use these issues to further their time on a reality TV show.

Wait isn't that really unfair to Laura?

Andy ran and told Jason twice now and he's been defended on here tooth and nail as being a good friend even though he actually lied once.

Laura does the same after spineless Andy does what he claims he never does (bitching behind people's backs instead of confronting them) and she's a tattle tail?

One rule for her and another for Andy?

..what is in the right, I think...is that Hughie being from a travelling community and being homosexual will most likely have given him some very real experiences of prejudices/'suppression' etc...and that he has a right to express himself in the way that he chooses to without sanctimonious ol Andy dictating what is and isn't a joke...

The whole point is that LGBT people have/are dying for the right to express their sexuality the same as heterosexuals. Andy is pretty much ****ting on Hughie and Ryan for doing exactly what LGBT are fighting so hard for. They should be able to make jokes about their sexuality or about marriage or about whatever else they want to do without being hated against. Andy is an over-sensitive tool looking for more air-time.

..yeah, this exactly, jyunga.....Andy can't have his gay rights/struggles cake and eat it either...he said on National TV that he wasn't keen on his engagement ring so unless he's extremely heartless and insensitive, which I doubt..?...then I'm assuming that, that was a joke/what he perceived as a jokey remark..but that ring was soooooooooooooooooooo, representative, wasn't it...not a thing to be joked about...the rules and the world according to Andy, it seems..that he will decide the humour and on his own terms...

....hmmmm, in getting quite serious and deep though...the 49 people who were recently killed in Orlando..?...were they spending their time in that nightclub, joking/laughing/dancing/singing etc..and having the right to do so and having gone through struggles to do so and having overcome prejudices to do so../to be themselves ...I would guess they were and not abiding by the rules and world according to Andy and pondering on darker aspects...

Totally agree with you. As a Gay man our rights are hard won and to mock them is outrageous. Shame on Ryan and Hughie. Well done Andy a man of principle.

He played the gay rights card because the kids stole his thunder and he threw his rattle out of the pram. The stoning thing was damage limitation and the rest was just him menstruating again

oh give over.

he made a right fool of himself and he himself has probably set all things gay back about five years with his jealous outburst.

In fact his engagement would probably cause more people to be stoned to death than hughie and ryan joking about theirs.

the blokes a complete tool who thinks it's ok to sit disecting everyone elses personality or intelligence but lo and behold anyone who dares have an opinion on his.

hypocrite of the highest order about gossips and talking behind peoples backs as well, took him 2 seconds to gossip with his beau about laura and bacardo though..

we see nothing but a journalist, not a person, a journalist..the wanky kind as well.

So does Andy when someone who has harassed him days earlier mocks him.
The 'he proposed', followed by the kiss, the ring - all done to send up Andy and Ed. Everyone else can be 'human' and do their thing, but Andy isn't allowed any frailties. Even people who come across as superior to some have feelings and they hurt as much as anyone else. Harassing him and making fun of him isn't justified in the least.
