Default Hughie and Alex have words over the 5k.

If Hughie wanted the money he should have gone for it.

As much as I like Hughie, I found it hypocritical of him to bash Alex for taking 5K out of the prize fund after pushing the button to take 20K out of it for himself.

Hmm. As a Hughie fan, I can't help by agree with Alex here. He never said he'd never take the cash, he said he just wouldn't take 20k. I don't think he needed to justify himself. Hughie is going to make himself extremely hated.

Everyone online seems to be agreeing with Alex too... winning moment?

Hopefully the consequences of those that took the 5k is that they are up for nomination this week.....

With the Big Brother 2016 prize money diminishing, Hughie Maughan isn't happy.

The total now stands at £70,000 after Jason Burrill took £20k and Alex Cannon and Jackson Blyton each pocketed £5k in another twist.

Hughie wasn't happy with Alex's decision, accusing him of being hypocritical following the previous prize money task the day before.

"When we were in [the task room, the £20,000] was 100% going to come off [the prize fund] and you said you'd never take money out of someone's pocket," Hughie claimed.

Alex explained there was a difference between £20,000 and £5,000: "I said I'd never take £20,000 out of someone's pocket."

"It's the same principle," Hughie told him.

"It's not," insisted Alex.

Hughie ranted: "You've completely and utterly contradicted yourself from last night. It's rubbish and right now you're trying to justify yourself."

"If it was £20k, I wouldn't take it," insisted Alex.

As Ryan defended him against Hughie, Alex went on to say he chose to take the money for the other luxuries it provided as part of a new 'rich' and 'poor' task.

"I'm having a s**t time here... I want to enjoy myself, I might leave here in another day," said Alex. "It wasn't even about the 5 grand, just because I'm not moping around doesn't mean I'm not struggling.

"You don't know what I'm missing out on the outside, you haven't got a ******ing clue, lad."

Nothing wrong in taking the money, but there may be consequences. Surely it's not as easy as that??

Hughie is being an absolute knobhead.

I have absolute respect for anyone who takes the £5000, I'd do the same without question.

Up until last week, twitter couldn't stand him, Alex, who? What? Who's that? But the last 2-3 days, hes built up a lot of support on forums and social media as a "default" vote.

Hughie is the greediest of the lot and can't bear the fact that the prize fund is diminishing. He thinks his game plan is working great so far and that the money is going to be his.
If you watch his face during the moment he pressed for the 20k you'd see a different Hughie. I happened to live pause just at that moment and he looked almost vicious.

The only reason I wouldn't choose it is that I would think: what's the catch?

Hughie has lost all chances of winning now. I'm preparing for an Alex or Jackson win now.

This is why Alex will win, everyone is shooting themselves in the foot like favourites ALWAYS do in the last 2 weeks. It's a tradition.
