Some pretty big 'names' here aside from Budapest, I'll be happy with any of the other three but think I lean towards LA cause the opening ceremony would undoubtedly be amazing

That said, Paris (or Rome) would be better time zone wise so

Quite happy with all of them but Los Angeles, because that'd just be a really safe choice. And that would mean 3 Olympics not in Europe.

I'd love to see how Budapest get on.

Rome..
Paris would be a security nightmare.
LA is too much time difference.
Not sure about Budapest to be honest.

Either Rome or Paris.

USA have had 2 of the past 9 Olympics (1 being LA), so sod the Yanks, and just no to Hungary.

My choice would be Rome.

Italy or France is good for timezones.

US would make the ceremonies epic.

Think Budapest will get it and they seemed serious about it even a few years ago so hopefully they pull it off

Any but L.A. Having three games in a row not in europe would be a bit silly now.

Ideally, Rome. Budapest would be a nice surprise too and I'd be intrigued to see what they could do. And of the three European bids, Paris have already had it twice so screw them.

I think that Rome would be really grand for a Sporting event.

I also at some point in the future want to see an Athens Olympics now that I'm old enough to pay attention to the Sport.

And I think with the ~terror threat~ in Paris I think LA has it won

Budapest to drop its bid.

Quote:
2024 Olympics: Budapest to drop bid to host Games
22 February 2017

Budapest is to drop its bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games, a Hungarian government spokesman confirmed.

More than 260,000 people had signed a petition against the plan, with opponents saying the money would be better spent on hospitals and schools.

Los Angeles and Paris are the other bidding cities after Hamburg pulled out in 2015 followed by Rome a year later.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will elect the winner at a vote in Lima, Peru, in September 2017.

Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs told Reuters a decision to drop the bid was made after a meeting between Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Budapest Mayor Istvan Tarlos and the Hungarian Olympic Committee.

The decision to drop the bid will be formally voted on by the Budapest City Assembly.

Fidesz, the governing party, said the decision was made to avoid "a loss of international prestige" as the bid had a very small chance of success.

Hungary is the only one of the 10 most successful medal-winning countries at the summer Olympics never to have hosted the event.

What a fascinating battle now looms, still leaning towards LA but Paris would be great timezone wise and maybe even for travelling over so I don't mind

Imagine if Paris don't win again
