Does 'standing up for yourself' really count if you cry every time after you do it? I don't think she's as 'strong' as she likes to make out.

Do you really not see how upset she gets in there? the young people take pleasure in upsetting her and it's so disturbing to watch.

Her crying 'every time' is debatable Imo. Sometimes, yes, in reference to it counting. I've stood my ground over bullying behaviour at work, complained officially when no one else suffering it would. I still took myself off at times to a side office to bawl. I'd bawl when I was in the comfort of my own home. It's venting everything out. She has nowhere else but the toilet, shower or diary room to cry. If she was playing the one trick pony mobster wife like some have said, she's spoiling her own game plan shedding tears. I'd like to think it's simply raw human emotion?

I'd have been a crying mess every day if I was stuck in there with a **** like Bear, mostly out of pure frustration that he's such an aggravating, nasty piece of work.

Actually pretty much every time I've seen her 'upset' it's been after an argument, so I would imagine they're not aware that she reacts in this way.

You could also argue that she knows how to play the game and get sympathy on her side. Crying works wonders especially after confronting someone seen as the 'bad guy'. I think she's pretty clued up on reality tv. There's nothing wrong with crying - it's what she says and how she acts that contradicts it.

Have to agree to disagree although your last sentence got me thinking. Bear can antagonise but launch into a naive Joe Pasquale impression to attempt to deflect any goading accusation. He plays it for laughs. He also is more than au fait with reality tv. So if tears are disingenuous for sympathy it follows that maybe fake naïveté is for laughter. Now plenty of his fans believe he's a hoot. In the relative scheme of things, others can truly sympathize with Renee. Before anyone claims that is his natural voice, I caught some clips of Ex shows. Also interviews shown on BBBOTS prior to entering the house. Take it down a far few octaves and it matches.

She wasn't brought up to be bullied by a child like ape and she feels a fool for being put into that situation, yes she shouts a lot, yes she swears a lot, but who wouldn't in her situation? being constantly picked at by someone as vicious as Bear is exhausting.

I think there's a major difference between crying and exaggerating a part of your personality. I think the 'real' Bear is what you see when he's sat having a conversation with someone (like I've seen with numerous people - Ricky, Katie, Chloe, Lewis, Marnie to name a few) and I think he's a bit of a prankster too. Does he exaggerate and try to wind people up? Absolutely and I'm sure he'll admit that himself. With Renee I'm just not so sure that what you see is what you get.
