Danniella Westbrook has admitted to relapsing into cocaine use after apparently finding out that her boyfriend George Arnold cheated on her with her best friend.

The former EastEnders star has a long history battling drug use but has sadly relapsed after outing her 24-year-old boyfriend as an alleged "cheat".

Talking to the Daily Star Online, she said: "I have relapsed and I'm trying to stop using, but it's a long road ahead.

"I feel broken and that I'm back to square one and my first form of defence is cocaine."

Isn't this this 3rd or 4th relationship with a 20 odd year old that has turned sour? I am not against age gap relationships at all, I prefer older guys myself actually but most 20 year old guys want to just have fun

I feel so sorry for her. I think of drug addiction as a mental illness and it's obviously something she'll always suffer from. To feel completely hopeless like she must do at that age when you have kids and your life's meant to be sorted must be the worst thing. If she can't cope with a break up without relapsing it really doesn't bode well for her

And why does she thinks she needs a constant relationship especially with blokes much younger than herself, especially as someone pointed out that at that age most just want to have fun as they should before settling into a more longterm relationship with someone.

Sad to say, the girl is probably both selfish in her mememe attitude instead of trying other ways to work through her problems like some form of councelling maybe, and also her obvious lack of willpower, so I think she is probably a lost cause when it comes to her drug problems. Running to the media instead of trying to address her problems is not the answer.

Sums it up no thought for her kids, family or friends just how she is feeling, hooking up with a succession of young males might make her feel better temporarily, she must have clocked by now they are using her for publicity in the main and are not interested in longevity

I don't envy anyone with an addictive personality. It's a terrible problem to have and to overcome.

That said, I'm not sure what the cheating bf has to do with anything. She's a grown woman, surely she's been through worse in her life and he is slight turbulence in comparison.

I think maybe things like that act as triggers, rather than it being solely because of it. It looks to me like she's never really 'recovered' (I'm not sure if many people fully recover from an addiction) but maybe she found ways of coping, and relying on her relationship might have been one of those ways. Ideally it wouldn't be and she'd be able to be strong enough in herself, but perhaps she just isn't/doesn't have that ability? I don't know, it's really sad though. I think we'd all like happy endings to things like this and you hear about certain people turning their lives around, but I think some people just can't get past their struggles, I don't necessarily think that's a 'fault' of theirs, but a weakness they can't do much about because it's innate maybe? I'm just conjecturing really, I don't know much about her personally, and I kind of hope I'm wrong and that she's able to move past it at some point.
