Daisy Lowe has admitted she was sort of happy to be in the Strictly Come Dancing 2016 bottom two at the weekend.



Daisy and pro partner Aljaž Skorjanec found themselves having to perform again in a bid to survive the axe on Sunday night.

Their Charleston on Saturday had impressed the judges and left them with a strong 32 points.

"I had one of the best weeks my whole life, I've never giggled and smiled so much," Daisy said.

But it wasn't quite enough as the pair were left having to dance again, which actually pleased Daisy.

"It was one of my worst fears realised but it was the calmest I've ever been through a results show," she revealed tonight. "I was genuinely pleased I got another shot at dancing it as I was annoyed [I made mistakes]."

Aljaz told how he encouraged Daisy: "I always say to daisy when we go on to perform, it's just the two of us, we do exactly what we did in rehearsals.... if we didn't do it in rehearsals, don't do it!


''I was genuinely impressed. Daisy got through the dance off without any mistakes, she did it better than she did on Saturday night."

Daisy and Aljaz were saved from the axe but that came at a cost with Lesley Joseph and Anton Du Beke going home.

Daisy admitted: "It was so bittersweet, I just felt awful.

"She's been such an inspiration to all of us. She's been up at 5AM working and performing incredibly. I'm going to miss her so much, I'm gutted.

"You feel like it's your fault as well."


This week Daisy and Aljaz will be dancing the Paso Doble to Santa Esmeralda version of ‘Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’.

Nicky, maybe it's a good thing that Daisy & Aljaz were in the dance-off because this week they'll come back fighting and even stronger. I reckon maybe that the dance-off will be between Greg & Natalie vs Ed & Katya this week? It's going to be a great fright night on Strictly this year I reckon, what do you think

yeah i agree Kieran, i think them being in the dance off kind of shocked the viewing public, and this could lead them not voting for the worst dancers anymore, let's hope so
