Yes, John Yorke has took over and block filmed a bunch of scenes with Phil to slot into already existing episodes.

Less than that. Filming in advance just makes it appear longer on screen.

Also, you said he "never" takes six months off which is not true. 2003 and 2006 spring to mind. Nobody said those breaks were over shoddy producers.

No. He took a year out 2003-2004 and him, Peggy and Grant returned in 2005.

He left as part of Letitia Dean's exit in 2006 and came back. Letitia Dean was supposed to be taking a break and returning with him (with Dennis' baby) but didn't come back until 2012.
