Default Conservative MP in attack on pay cap in letter to nurses

So any social policy and call for public pay cap to be lifted is Marxist?....:/

''A Conservative MP has drawn criticism for telling a nurse he would not support a public sector pay increase because it was being spearheaded by Labour “Marxists”.

A nurse wrote to the Charles Walker, MP for Broxbourne, asking him to support a Labour amendment to the Queen’s Speech that would have lifted the cap.

But the politician rejected the request, saying: “There is simply no chance of me, elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament, supporting any amendment tabled by the Labour Party while it is led by the Marxist duo of Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell.

“Two people who have consistently sided with the enemies of our country and have total contempt for its institutions of governance and law.''

Is he essentially saying that he would downvote absolutely anything - whether he agrees with it or not - on the basis of who it was tabled by?

That appears to be the crux of it.. There is more than a whiff of desperation in the air now with bojo distancing himself from the cap even though he too voted for it. As an excuse though this really is the most extraordinary

It honestly almost sounds like it's purely to stop Labour getting any good press. Like in 6 months time the Tories will announce an end to the cap and declare that it was all their idea...

What changed his mind? He had a chance to vote on how he felt last week and he chose to oppose it as per this is the usual piss and wind nothing statement that we all expect from him.

One of the most irritating things about this election campaign was how little understanding our commentariat and the electorate have of Marxism. But then a poorly politically educated population is what the Tories thrive off, so
