No prizes for guessing why Labour are so focused on public service workers - as they know that is what will get them votes. |

From the comments:
"Makes me cross listening to his rant putting down the public services and MPs attempts to end the 1% pay cap. He'll be playing a different tune when he falls seriously ill and there's no NHS staff left to help him. I am self employed too but I want to see an end to this pay cap." Little more needs to be said. |

Yep people interested in social policy and public services vote Labour, what's wrong with that?
Here is a poll... (It's a yougov poll btw) https://www.thecanary.co/2017/07/07/...utely-furious/

Is the Canary the only biased source? The express, mail, telegraph or sun aren't I suppose?

A couple of months ago i woke up to find my right hand/wrist 90% dead and pretty much paralyzed. I phoned the NHS Out of Hours number who, after asking me questions insisted i go straight to A&E which i did.
They had me in to see someone within 10 minutes of getting there. Long story short. After six weeks of treatment which included x-rays, MRI's, nerve specialists and much more i have most of the movement in my hand/wrist back and all of this was done without a single bill or money demand and that's thanks to our invaluable and irreplacable NHS service. I cannot fault the treatment i received and would certainly never criticize these amazing people. Incidentally, the problem was something called a 'Saturday Night (or Radial Nerve) Palsy'. Something i'd never even heard of. Luckily they had. These people deserve far more than they get from May and her bufoons who care little for the normal, everyday people while they exist worry and carefree with their private medical care. |

Because to look after small business owners you have to **** over those who work in the public sector? Hmmmmm. In fact if he was in any way business-minded, he would realise that more money in the pockets of any normal working person is money in the pockets of his own customers, and therefore good for his business . |

I tend to read a variety of papers and sources, and there is usually some truth in all of them, whether they are right or left slanted. In my above post I was pointing out your hypocrisy really...I'm sure there are elements of truth in the Canary reporting just as there will be in the Express, Mail etc. How do you get a balanced view of politics if you only read what you want to believe and disregard all others as made up? I find that really narrow minded. |

There is no hypocrisy, I am aware the canary has a left wing bias but I don't care, as long as what they report can be fact checked as a direct quote or such I'm happy.

There's the issue, I much prefer to separate fact from opinion.

All politicians use any issue they can to score brownie points . That's pretty much what politics is.

What else is in danger of being politicised in politics?... You can't criticise the response to tragedy for fear of it, you can't support public services...Just what can you do? Throw money at the DUP and spout random nonsense about brexit? :/

I guess you could compare it to people coming onto debate threads on here saying "Yeah but what about Corbyn!" or "Yeah but what about Labour in 1999!" when the thread is about something totally different. Sure they may have genuine grievances, but it's not really appropriate to force another discussion (in this case, much deserved public pay sector rises) off track to push your own agenda... |

I don't see how it's a genuine grievance, if you choose to work for yourself how can you bleat about people who choose to work for an employer even if the employer happens to be the state?
