Awesome episode. Man, I’m going to miss Rick. They done well with that promo for the next three episodes, but I just can’t ever see my interest being high again without him.

I can't tell what's more jarring, the fact that we've jumped over double the time we had experienced between the first episode to Rick leaving, or the fact that an eight year old is just waltzing around in the woods with a sword and a gun seemingly by herself

(on that note, it's also sorta weird that we lost so many people in like, 3 years since the apocalypse began? And in 6 years no one has seemingly died)

Really good episode. BUT I'm not a fan of there being another time jump. I just think it will be too much to take in. The first one worked as we had to wait a few months, but with this we just have a week :/

And they announced the Rick spin-off far too soon. It just sort of makes the episode a bit redundant, really. I'm looking forward to the whisperers though.

So I'm FINALLY caught up after falling behind on the entirety of last season I felt like the mid-season finale of season 8 onwards was a marked improvement over the first half and season 7 but season 9 so far has been such a step up. I'm actually fully back into the show again for the first time in about 2 years

Really loved Rick's send off. Obviously Carl and Lori were glaring omissions (I know Lori had a voice cameo but still) but you can't always get everyone you want back. I'm super intrigued by the movies too, and I'm glad Anne will be involved because I've loved her since all her people died.

Really looking forward to the new storyline too, although I've only read very early issues of the comics so far I'm well aware of what comes later and I've been anticipating this next arc for ages.

The Whisperers have potential to be terrifying villains if done well, and the heads on pikes could be a great way to end the season.

I actually really like the time hop I think it's nice as I felt like the timeline we were in after Carl and Rick are gone was destined to be a bit boring and all mourning and frankly I wasn't very intersted in Judith growing up all that much.

I also really liked Magna and her group and I am interested in how they habdle the deaf characters, it could make some very interesting scenes.

Anyone else hear the whisperer at the end of the episode aswell? Can't wait to see what they do with them!

Always thought if they weren't gonna hook her or Eugene up, she would go with Tara or Siddiq. A lot happens in 6 years and I remember Gabe and Rosita had a nice moment in Season 7 but yeah. Interesting combo

overall it was a great episode, also how different most looked Carol with the longer hair Henry now a teen (played by Matt Lintz, brother of Mackenzie Lintz who was Carol's daughter apparently and also was in another series Under the Dome as Norrie)

Negan becoming more and more a good person, i liked that scene of him and Judith

I thought this was the walkers evolving (I don't read the comics or read spoilers from them)

Agree with your post though, it kind of freshened the show up a bit, was getting pretty stale

in telltale the walking dead final season, this one guy James a former whisperer explains how his group wears walker skin and they can lead herds of walkers in any direction they want, so that explains the walkers suddenly moving towards eugene and Rosita while they thought they went the other direction

Decent episode. But the majority of the characters are still annoying.

WHY does Carol call Henry her son. Like, she would never do that after the whole Sophia thing. And Henry calling Ezekiel his Dad even though he would've still been old enough to remember his real one.

And who is that small boy at the end with Michonne? If that's another child of her's then I cba.

Unfortunately after an awesome start to the series I have been blown away every episode the one this week was a little bit underwhelming. The whole council deciding on the new people story was so boring and took up too much of the episode. However there were some good points

Carol setting people on fire so she is even more bad ass now

Judith and negans chat

Seeing the whisperers at the end

Everything else was boring, and Gabriel hooking up yet again this time with rosita that was a bit odd
