Default there will be no eliminations in the final

Strictly Come Dancing 2017's final will see a big change this year.

Those left on the Strictly 2017 line up after the semi-final include singer Alexandra Burke, and Debbie McGee, TV personality, presenter and the widow of magician Paul Daniels.

They're joined by soap star Joe McFadden and actress Gemma Atkinson.

Unlike in past years, there will be no eliminations in the final.

Instead, all four will be dancing to the end where only the winner will be revealed.

A BBC spokesperson said: "The producers always wanted a final in which all the couples danced three times.

"It proved hugely successful in 2016 [where there were only three contestants in the final] and we’re very excited about the routines that will be performed this weekend.”

As for the dances, as usual the couples will be performing their own showdance, a favourite dance from the competition and a dance chosen by the judges.

Speaking on It Takes Two, Darcey Bussell said of the judges' choices: "These are obviously dances that they did well, but they were just very early in the series.

"They've got plenty of room to improve. They've all come so far. Just imagine what they could do with these dances from earlier in the season."

Head judge Shirley Ballas added: "I think everyone will be quite excited with what we've picked."

After 13 amazing weeks of glitter, excitement and sensational dance performances, the Strictly Come Dancing Final comes live to BBC One this Saturday night.

Fifteen celebrities entered the ballroom, but now only the finalists remain. Each couple will perform in front of the judges and to the audience at home to battle it out in the ballroom for the very last time. The judges scores will be for guidance only and the winner will be decided by the viewers’ votes alone.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will then reveal which celebrity and professional dancer the viewers have chosen to lift the famous Glitter Ball Trophy and be crowned the champions of Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs Saturday night from 6:30PM on BBC One.

Of course! Should of known they'd do this . I think last year would of been the exact same format but because Will Young quit , that's probably why only 3 were in the final last year.

Having no Fouth place announced is annoying , wouldn't be so bad if they'd release the voting stats like other reality shows .

To stop Alexandra crying about being 4th? So she can go home pretending she was 2nd?

We'll never know for sure which place she finishes as they never release a voting stats . But after Joe wins ,the other 3 will just be announced as "runner ups" never mind.

Exactly..
You almost feel what is the point in voting...denying the 2nd/3rd/4th positions knowing how the public voted in support. Disgusting IMO...

Aw I don't like this but at least we don't need to see our Gem be revealed as 4th and we can all act like she was 2nd Place x

I'm happy with a extra dance from Alexandra,Joe and Gemma (if they are doing 3 dances each)
