So Jean is going to be 'nasty' again and we're getting 'slapper' Kat back... I'm all for iconic scenes but so much for character development. Let's just let Phil be an alcoholic again and forget he's had a kidney transplant.

Well tbf it's not about character development. Jean had always had that dark side of her that her mental illness exposes. That was the reason Sean cut ties with her. Whereas she has been happier in recent years with getting married and keeping her meds under control.

We saw a nasty streak when Stacey found out about her dad's secret family.

I wonder what happens to trigger it this time.

Jessie's interview suggests Kat's unaware of Mo's deception but Jean knows all about it.

Jean was different in the first guest stint where she was weird about Stacey's key and she slit her wrists to when she left the square with Ollie so I guess it's believable her personality changes often

I just hope Laila Morse's acting has improved because it looks like she's going to be getting a lot of meaty scenes in comparison to her few lines an episode in her last few years
