Default oh wow...

I just remembered this

they were really gonna ‘axe it’ (and just rest it) and then bring it back huh
channel 5 held it hostage from channel 4

https://forums.digitalspy.com/discus...et-back-to-you

People back in October 2010 seemed to know that Channel 5 was thinking (definitely going?) to take on Big Brother

oh and then there was the rumour that C4 would do a January CBB in 2011 </3

but idk I think that, given that it was pretty much known that C5 was in talks to get Big Brother at this point, "Big Brother Will Get Back to You" was probably referencing it's eventual return on C5

That said, if no one actually bothered to obtain BB, I'd see C4 going back to it a few years down the line

tbf it probably would be the same show it is now but with better scheduling and slightly higher ratings

I imagine C4 didn't confirm to endemol that they intended to bring the show back otherwise they wouldn't of sold to c5 so quick. there wasn't even any talks of a struggle or bidding war. c4 didn't want ha
