Amazing. I feel like QT is back to his best, at long last. This sounds like it's gonna be glorious!

Weirdly, it seems Margot apparently doesn't have a very meaty role. She has very minimal dialogue and basically just shown "living the dream" around Los Angeles, attending parties etc and going to the cinema to watch herself in "The Wrecking Crew" (as seen in the trailer). Someone said they'd estimate she has about 30 minutes of screen time, which I did not expect. I think QT basically wanted to show her enjoying life, enjoying being this rising star on the cusp of something big, oblivious to what was going to happen to her. Almost as if he's humanising Sharon Tate, because she's [sadly] more associated with her death than her life. She's the "princess" of this dysfunctional fairytale.

Margaret Qualley who plays Pussycat, the Manson girl that's in the car with Brad in the trailer, has more input/dialogue apparently. Did not see that coming!

I totally agree, and this seems to be just that.

Reading many reviews it seems that it's a fun, nostalgic and heartfelt yet "wild ride" with like an unsettling tension slowly building on the periphery until BAM! This huge culmination that "shall not be named" happens.

Tarantino’s career topping, over-the-top finale can’t be described without spoilers. Despite a trademark misogynist angle that has to be mentioned, it’s an in-your-face stunner that unleashes spectacularly funny mayhem that results in giving the “Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood” part of the film’s title new meaning.
I'm SO intrigued but I'm going to at least TRY and not see spoilers if any do surface, critics have obeyed the rules thus far.

The movie is split into three acts...

Spoiler:

and is set over just three days, within a period of 6 months in 1969:

Act 1. February 8
Act 2. February 9
Act 3. August 8 (the night of Sharon's murder irl)

Quote:
The stories of Rick, Cliff, and Tate unfold over three days or, as Tarantino says, in three acts: February 8, February 9, and, finally, August 8—the night when Charles Manson (Damon Herriman) dispatched four members of his “Family” to the house next to Rick’s on Cielo Drive in Beverly Hills, where they found Tate, hairdresser Jay Sebring (Emile Hirsch), and three others.

Many listed cast don’t appear in the movie at all, including Danny Strong, James Marsden, Michael Madsen, James Remar, and Tim Roth.

All of those guys didn't make the final cut, and even Al Pacino had a scene or two cut from the final edit and isn't in it as much as people had predicted.

Oh ffs.

Do NOT go on this movie's Wikipedia page if you don't want spoilers. I was just blissfully unaware reading through and accidentally read the ending of the movie

(Sounds good though ngl).

Thanks for the heads up buddy, and sorry you had to see it. Why the **** is it even on Wikipedia this early? Seems like a trap.

No worries!

No idea, someone just spoiling it for everyone else I guess and sticking two fingers up to QT. The whole plot is there in black and white for everyone to see.

Got to admit though, it's made me much more eager to see this after reading!

What?! No Madsen and Roth? And Pacinoís hardly in it? Suddenly my excitement level has dwindled.

Literally everything! It's not very "detailed", kind of vague but you get the picture.

There's also a huge thing about Brad's character on there, like his back story that I did NOT see coming.

Iíll definitely be avoiding Wikipedia from now on. I havenít read any spoilers on this film so far and Iíd like to keep it that way.

Sadly not.

Many are shocked by especially Pacino and Robbie's lack of "presence", but apparently it's all justified and it wouldn't be as good or better if they were in it more kind of thing.

This is still getting rave reviews, still in the late 80's and 90's on critic sites like Rotten Tomatoes etc after many reviews. Someone's called it "Pulp Fiction meets Jackie Brown with an Inglorious ending"

95% with 42 reviews now on Rotten Tomatoes, continue to rise...

Usually it's the contrary!

That's Quentin's new highest RT score, surpassing Pulp Fiction's 94%. Hopefully it stays that way or rises.

In a new interview with IndieWire, Tarantino says he may recut OUATIH to make it longer following its 2h 39m premiere at Cannes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"I wouldnít take anything else out," he said. "Iím going to explore possibly putting something back in. If anything, I wanted to go to Cannes too short. If Iím going to err, Iím going to err on too tight." Fred Raskin's first cut clocked in at 4h 20m, and included every single thing Tarantino shot. "Thats not unusual for an epic-y kind of movie," Tarantino says. Sony head Tom Rothman is on board: "It's his movie. We're privileged to be along for the ride." Tarantino touches on more aspects of the film in the interview, referring to Robbie's Tate as an "angelic presence," and calling Spahn Ranch one of the best sets he's ever had of any of his movies: "It's scary and it is creepy."
PLEASE do it!

Wow 4hrs 20 minutes? That would've been the longest film ever.

Yeah! Maybe don't release that in theatres but I'm definitely here for an ultimate Director's Cut DVD!

It's crazy! There's a bit of controversy around some of the reviews on RT that have been negative, they're all from Spanish reporters who can barely speak English... HMMMM.

Without them it would be 100%!

Same. Most directors usually consider their ultimate director's cut to be superior and the definitive version of it. Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven for example.
