It's official, Sony will be campaigning for DiCaprio for Best Actor and Pitt in Supporting for the Oscars.

I'm good with this because, for me, Pitt was the standout of the movie - and he'll probably win Supporting.

DiCaprio on the other hand, whilst still brilliant, will probably lose out to Joaquin Phoenix for Joker (or I'm hoping anyway - guy deserves every award under the sun for that role!)

I think Joaquin will get it. But I still want Di Caprio to be nominated. He was amazing in this movie.

Absolutely agree!

I just think that it's criminal that someone like Phoenix, who I've never seen do less-than-incredible performances in everything he's ever been in, has yet to win an Academy Award.

If there was ever a "time" for him to win - it's this year with Joker, 100%.

Leo doesn't need a second Oscar win. He's no Daniel Day Lewis. I hope one day Kevin Bacon wins an Oscar.

Hopefully Joaquin campaigns for Joker. Him not campaigning for The Master, as well as his comments about the Oscars, is why he didn't win back in 2012 when he deserved it much more than Daniel Day-Lewis.

He should've had at least 2 Oscars by now - one for Gladiator and one for The Master.

He's one of the greatest actors of all time, possibly the best working actor at the moment.

The little girl was definitely a standout in the film. Hope she has an amazing career ahead of her.

Agree with everything you said Tony, especially about Phoenix. I don't think I've ever seen a movie he's in where he's no less than "WOW" you know? I hope this is his year for validation (not that he needs it nor I think cares about awards).

The Red Apple commercial features James Marsden as a young Burt Reynolds advertising them - so happy because I remember seeing him in an interview saying how ecstatic he was to be just involved in the movie so I'm very glad he's back in this after originally not making the final cut of the film (however small the role/segment may be).

All of these extras are apart of the new "extended release" that came out across America this past week I believe.

Please don't tell me this is the artwork for the regular DVD release? According to Amazon it is, whereas 4k/Blu Ray get the big poster cover... Jeez

Talk of the devil - this is back in the cinema today here in the UK with the 10 mins extra footage. Was tempted to go to my local tonight (can only see one showing of it listed, tonight at 7) but didn't bother in the end... Have seen it twice in the movies and not long to go now for the DVD!

The DVD is out Stateside tomorrow (I think the 4k Ultra one/Blue Ray) so we've now got HD scenes all over the net - so happy. Will hold me over until the regular DVD release in a few weeks here in the UK.

Could watch Brad Pitt cruising around in his Coup for hours!

The FULL Manson scene - he visits the main house as we saw in the movie, then visits the landlord (a fictional character called Paul Barabuta, played by Danny Strong) who lives in a back building on the property with his dog) and then weirds out Cliff...

Quote:
Taran-trivia: While Strong's character of Paul Barabuta is fictional, he is based on Hollywood business manager, Rudolph Altobelli. Altobelli owned 10050 Cielo Drive and rented it out to the Polanski's. Barabuta is also blended with Altobelli's caretaker, William Garretson, who did live in the back guesthouse and was the lone survivor of the murders on August 8th, 1969.

My copy of the DVD arrived today!

Sadly, it has the rubbish cover and not the huge, “drawn” one but never mind.
