I'm just not enjoying the season now. It started off really well but I'm sick of it being set in the past. It hasn't even been about the Apocalypse, it's all been back story and half of it was useless.

It's become a season where RM just decided to bring everyone he liked back for the sake of it, even though I had high hopes. It's just become bland and I'm sick of seeing Cody Fern every episode try to be intimidating and evil but ending up looking like an idiot.

What a flop.

The nerds are stupid. Cody Fern is fuqing annoying as sh*t. The whole thing is redundant really, as i think everyone is past the point of caring about how the apocalypse happened. did we really need a long drawn out 7 episode reason? just screamed @ Misty Day running off with Stevie Nicks. The only thing I'm really enjoying this season is the Coven parts so he should have just had Coven 2.0 with a completely different plot.

Someone pointed out that the bomb was dropped in 2020 but Hotel Cortez was still standing in 2022 and civilisation was happening as normal And the seasons are clearly linked seeing as Queenie was rescued from the Hotel.

Honestly, this season should have just been about Cordelia setting up a new school that just so happens to be set in the Murder House and the conflict that comes from those two worlds colliding.

It's not quite the catastrophic failure that Cult was but it's getting pretty damn close.

Cult at least had 2 or 3 crackers in the middle. This has had about 2 decent scenes, and both of them had Jessica Lange in them.

I can't agree with that, at least this series has some likable characters. Cult's characters were annoying from the beginning and only got worse when they changed for no reason because Murphy's storytelling that series was more schizophrenic than usual. Ally disappearing for a few episodes to become a bad ass manipulator and stone cold bitch after spending the first half of the season being a scared mess is one example, another is having Kai's character completely destroyed just to fit the whole crappily handled feminism=hating men angle that Murphy tried to force into the last few episodes. Everything that happened later on in that series basically made the first half pointless, they've kind of done that in this series admittedly with the first three episodes but at least half the season didn't end up mattering.

Cult was a chore to watch from the second episode onwards but intrigue has kept me watching this series at least.

Don't get me wrong though, this, along with Cult and Freakshow will be a season I'll never watch again. I just think that Cult is the worst thing AHS has ever done.

The season had so much promise for like 3 episodes then totally lost it’s way. It’s sad to see such talented actors wasted on such corny, lazy scriptwriting. They could’ve done so much more with this but they totally blew it. It’s just a mess.

Oh Cult doesn't work as a cohesive whole and the characters are all over the place but there were 2 or 3 entertaining episodes with potential in the middle.

For me there hasn't been a single good episode this season. Even the best one, Return to Murder House was only good for "let's see Jessica Lange do what we've already seen her do in a story we already know".

Also I don't care about likeability in characters.

This season just has the worst crime of wasting so many good ingredients. Like, how has he merged Coven and Murder House, got all these actors to return and done NOTHING with it.

Overall, I think we can conclude Ryan Murphy has no creativity or imagination.

Maybe this show has just run its course, or Ryan Murphy needs to bring in more competent storytellers. Ever since Freakshow I feel like it’s been the case where every season has 3-4 fantastic episodes but is ultimately let down by corny scriptwriting and a story that takes you in so many different directions to reach an unsatisfying conclusion. To be fair, I didn’t watch Roanoke and stopped Hotel after a few episodes; but I hear I didn’t miss out on anything that spectacular.
