Default Which 50-54 day series WORKED BETTER.

BB17 and BB18 ran for 50 and 54 days respectively.

Both of them were brilliant series, but we are talking about how well the 8 week format worked.

This is based on when the evictions took place, nominations, twists, etc.

BB17 for me.

17 but both should have been longer and not rushed.

I prefer 18. Most of 17's storylines were pretty draining in hindsight (Georgina/Jackson, Charlie/Jason, Andy/GayRights, Ryan/Hughie), even if I liked more housemates.

Even though the planning for BB18 seemed a little messy at times (not deciding whether to stick with vote to save or vote to evict, alternating between Thursday and Friday evictions), it felt less rushed than BB17

Plus, as much as Annihilation Week turned out to be pretty good despite the odds, I'd take something like BB18's triple-ish eviction over it any day of the week

BB18 > BB17

18 had better housemates however in the context you mean, Eddie, BB17 had a cleaner and consistent format of evictions, ie announcing who had the most/fewest votes etc

I found the Storylines in 17 to be better tbh. If the Divide had continued and lasted the entire duration, 18 would have been better.

To think we could have had another ABCD Eviction coming up the week when Lotan Was Removed.

I prefer BB17 much more but since the question is about which handled being a shorter series better, then I'd have to go with BB18, as it kept adding new twists and housemates gradually that made it feel more paced out, although really ****ing disjointed in its last week. I enjoyed BB17 but after Annihilation Week things kind of simmered down a lot but then this weirdly made it seem super rushed at the end as a result. My vote is for BB18

BB18 felt like a 13 week series.

I always forget Rebecca didn't even make it past halfway, it felt like she was a Week 6 boot.

She was there the same amount of time as Shabnam in BB8 and Benedict in BB13

Remember when Savannah O'Reilly got the most votes to evict out of 11 people?

I prefer BB17, but in regards to this question I belive BB18 is a better answer.
I count BB17, especially due to its length, a "boutique series" - short, quality housemates, quality storylines, iconic moments, everything in place, quite the essence of BB but squeezed into the impossible space of 51 days. I remember when it was over thinking - what?! that's it?! we've only just begun! it was an injustice making it so short, it needed more days.
BB18 on the other hand fitted its length, a lot has happened and the ending didn't feel rushed, it was short but felt long and complete.
So in terms of its length - it felt more natural for BB18. In terms of personal taste - BB17 did better with better cast and better storylines.

18 was only really better when it came to tasks and the final. 17 was Superior in every other category- Cast, Twists, Consistent Drama, Better Production, Shock Evictions, Storylines etc.

Although it's your opinion if you think 18 is Better.

Fair Enough. I used to think 18 was better when it ended last year. Looking back i now feel 17 is Superior. Either way they are two great series that we deserved after Power Trip and Timebomb.

18 felt longer than 54 days, probably because it didn’t feel rushed.
17 had a super-strong first 3 weeks and then the boyfriend stuff happened and then annihilation happened and then everything after just blurred together.
