More than the royal wedding

I wonder how they calculate it with the number of people watching in pubs etc, you'd think that would knock the figure down quite a bit

I'd have thought that would increase the number if anything: wouldn't a pub screen count as just 1 view? Or do they give rough estimates for public houses (say, 100 per establishment or something)

Yeah that's what I mean that the fact a lot of people watch in pubs knocks the figure down to a lot lower than it actually is unless they make some sort of adjustment for that

I heard that TV’s have a device in them that detect how many people watch the TV that’s how they acquire ratings.
