I really hope not bc this looks so amazing ugh but i’m such a sheep when it comes to game metascores we need to form a prayer circle for 85+

To be fair anything under 80 usually does have genuine issues like either just crap / boring or broken game mechanics.

Like in Vampyr the whole premise was the moral dilemma of do you kill people and gain more power but feel bad about it, or be moral but weaker. Except the NPCs were all either boring or annoying so it was literally impossible to give a **** about eating them. Which would have been more acceptable if the combat was amazing or something... But it was also crap.

But yeah I've had my eye on this one for a while too... However it does have some experimental game mechanics going on, so it could totally flop if they're not well polished .

So I rented it and after about playing it for an hour, the story's pretty proper.

The game starts off pretty similarily to the alpha builds and stuff but afterwards that's when it starts to branch off. You're still with the downers after escaping from the tunnels but don't start the torn clothes quest, instead in order to get into the downers' town you have to retrieve a war medal from some group for a guy.
