i just don't think brexit will be a huge mess or problem, it's just more something political and independence from the EU

I don't think Netflix US accounts work outside here so that wouldn't be unusual. Our media has always been locked down. Our DVDs only work in the US & Canada... Mexico and everything south of us is in under another region code... versus Europe which share y'all same region for the most part I think? We'd have to carry a compatible laptop/player to watch them abroad... Canada makes sense though to share the region code with... we share similar media/publications and the price is in US/CAN. Most can usually change the region code on your PC CD-ROM a certain number of times... I debated buying another drive, doing that and importing media... but it's so expensive to buy import... -_- |

I can understand not wanting Brexit, but actively loving the EU is a bit odd. What is it you love about it?

I feel more attached to the idea of Europe as a whole. I actually advocate a federal Europe but that's for another day. The EU does have its shortfalls and problems which I admit need straightening out HOWEVER, Yorkshire comes above everything. I am a Yorkshire nationalist through and through and I am more attached to that than Britain as a whole and or Europe |

Can't you download stuff off netflix and spotify so you can watch and listen to them offline anyway?

I'd rather have no Netflix than an eventual United States of Europe tbh.

Storing stuff from Netflix to watch offline is a bit of a pain in the arse tbh, defeats the point of streaming really. Might as well just torrent a few movies or seasons of a show and watch them on any old media player.

It is fairly easy tbh, just set the VPN to a UK server and it'll access a UK Netflix account from anywhere.
You need a paid VPN for Netflix to work well though, free ones are too slow. I don't know of any free ones that work on phones / tablets either (for apps, rather than browser) |

Or leave your PC on at home and run a VPN server from your house...

It can't be as bad as running a dial up service using your modem and broadband. I used to have to do that for my Dreamcast to play PSOv2 because the ethernet adapter was both expensive and hard to find.

Well yes, but A) if you get a good multiple year deal it works out like £2.50 a month and B) in my personal opinion, its just very ****ing sensible to use a VPN for almost all Internet activity these days . Eyes everywhere .
