AJ PRITCHARD, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing 2018, has revealed he does not think his dance partner Lauren Steadman is ready after struggling this week ahead of the live BBC show tomorrow night.

AJ added Lauren is not ready for the emotional intensity of their performance as their routines on the show so far have been very “smiley”.

He continued: "I think it's going to surprise everyone - it'll be emotional. I actually don't think she's ready for how emotional it will be."

training has been going so well, and i wouldn't be surprised if this week will her highest score to date, near or in the 30's

AJ is doing everything right in this partnership


he means it more like, this contemporary dance has a story very personal to her life, as for her family and her daytime job as an athlete

and in a contemporary you need loads of emotions, so probably he just hopes she's ready for that, they had been having good rehearsals so everything should be fine


i know that maybe Lauren isn't a typical AJ celeb partner, but she is good for him, like how Susan Calman last year was good for Kevin Clifton, to improve their teaching abilities and showing their lovely personalities more either


AJ cares a lot about Lauren, how fearless she is, her competitive mindset is similar to his own mindset


perhaps AJ also doesn't want to sound too overconfident now, and hopefully surprise us on the night itself with a stunning performance


i hope so cause contemporary dancing is one of my fave dance styles, and i am happy it has come to strictly now

I watched them on Strictly it takes two this week, they were fine with the routine planning.
The lifts were a niggle but she said she fully trusts him.

Then that annoying Ian who looks at them in training, said they were doing really good.
I'll stick with those 2 sources.

she also seemed a lot more relaxed on ITT this week, she's so slowly coming more and more out of her shell now


AJ had revealed that his favourite Judge is Craig Revel Horwood, while he might be mean, he still is very much honest and gives good constructive criticism

on ITT though she had said she trusts him with the lifts, which shows how much she respects him as a dancer, and AJ has lots of respect for her as a inspiring person and athlete


i do agree with you though, that Lauren could for example thank him a lot more, something what Claudia and Mollie both did every week in AJ's previous 2 years on strictly


but that's just minor personality details to come over lovely to everyone, cause many of the GBP already like them as a couple, but it would be nice for everyone to see that

no one is perfect but aiming for perfection is what we all want to do


she'll probably don't win strictly, but i am glad AJ has gotten her as celeb partner, cause now he comes more and more over as a caring respectful dance partner, and this proves Claudia Fragapane and Mollie King their praise for him right who also had a fab time on strictly with such a great dance teacher and good friend

Actually as to last year and already this year too, I think it's particularly Darcey and Shirley who seen to have a problem with A J for some reason.

Darcey Always starts a possible romance between AJ and his celeb partners, she did that with Claudia, same last year with Mollie




about Shirley, well she does like his more basic and traditional choreography routines, i think Shirley is more a fan of traditional technical precision dancing, unlike the viewers who want the entertainment for example, cause i don't believe the GBP specifically looks at the technical details in a performance, given how entertaining celebs came far such as John Sergeant, Jeremy Vine, Ed Balls, Ann Widdecombe, Susan Calman and now Seann Walsh
