They lived in Spain for three years you silly sod.

But it's odd. He was happily moving back to London just before Christmas, and apparently had so little to his name he was living in Stacey's loft. But now suddenly he can't stay close to the kids in London because he's "got a life in Spain". The writers don't talk to each other.

The easiest conclusion would be Kat and Alfie admitting defeat that they can't stay together and Alfie just buggering off doing his funeral scams elsewhere in London so the kids see him off screen so Shane Richie's absence is explained.

Instead they're opting for a ridiculous plot where he disappears back to Spain. The show overcomplicates everything.

I know a million wouldn’t have got you far in London but their bar in Spain could have doubled their wealth or something so she didn’t have to stay in Stacey and Martin’s loft

Well Evie was the surprise reveal of Jagger's boss. Cindy Jr is Evie's boss.

Then six months after that Janine Butcher is revealed as the top of the chain.

They crash in Ted's flat again and Tiffany arrives to see Charlie Brooks sat in his armchair like Corleone.
