Default Coca-Cola company trials first paper bottle

Coca-Cola is to test a paper bottle as part of
a longer-term bid to eliminate plastic from its
packaging entirely.
The prototype is made by a Danish company
from an extra-strong paper shell
that still contains a thin plastic liner.
But the goal is to create a 100% recyclable,
plastic-free bottle capable of preventing
gas escaping from carbonated drinks.]

I assume you can remove the plastic liner
so you recycle the rest?

I bought some Weetabix this week and they have changed their paper packing inside the box to plastic its probably recyclable but hardly the point, its been paper for years!

I recall reading that the manufacturing of glass bottles has a negative impact on the environment, cancelling out any benefit of recycling.

Glass bottle coke is still the best there is. Tastes so much different that I do sometimes get them despite it being a fiver for 4 bottles tbh..

As weird as it sounds, I think a paper bottle would affect the perception of the taste. To be honest, glass bottle and canned coke are preferable to plastic bottle coke already
