Default Luciana Berger , 37, Labour MP still not speaking?

All last week
and Tomorrows papers still going on about her.
She has had trouble with Jewish Haters.
but that's just online
not in real life.

She must say herself, on TV news
that she is staying in the Labour Party.
Avoiding talking in Public makes all this worse.

She is also Pregnant (stated on Marr, yesterday)

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...fidence-motion

[A no-confidence motion in the Labour MP Luciana Berger has been withdrawn and a meeting to discuss her future has been
cancelled after it emerged that one of her key opponents within the local party called her a “disruptive Zionist”.]

John McDonnell suggested Ms Berger should pledge her loyalty to the Labour Party

Why should she have to pledge herself to an antisemitic labour party?

The whole point is that she was incorrectly suspended. Are other labour mp's required to make a pledge? No

The Labour Party have treat one of their own in a disgusting fashion.

Luciana Berger is and will always be one of the best Labour MPs in that group.

Luciana is having a horrible time.
The treatment and attitude of some of her constituency branch is disgraceful.

I don't see or hold to her views re the Labour party and anti Semitism.
I think it's time to look at all that again as it seems people just want to stop expression of views.
It seems anyone now saying anything, not meant to be offensive, against Israel is considered a probable anti semite.
Ridiculous.

It's fine for the Chief Rabbi to accuse and condemn the elected leader of HM opposition of something.
If the Archbishop of Canterbury makes a political statement, he should keep his nose out of poltics.
Yet we are supposed to still as yet be classed as a Christian Nation.
Anyone can say what they like about Christians however as to ridicule and bad, no one bats an eyelid.

All genuine anti Semitism is wrong and has to be dealt with.
Any genuine hate or incitement to hate against any or all Jewish communities is a disgrace.

That doesn't mean individuals witll not have division and disagreements.
Across all faiths and nationalities.

I have many Jewish friends, a good number support the Labour party and don't see the picture painted by those who simply just hate the Labour party and particularly hate this Labour leader.
So will preach hate against to influence hate against him.
In doing so, possibly inciting hate and distrust against the Party too and hard working Labour party members, possibly Labour voters too.

I am and always have been, a supporter of Israel.
It must be near horrific, existing alongside Nations who hate you and shamefully call for your extinction.
I would always support the Israeli line.

Luciana has had a hard ride, it's not fair and it is the case probably that action needs to be taken against her constituency.
However if she has been, looking at, entertaining a new breakaway Party then she too is wrong.
That needs action too.

The Cons are hard to anyone heading off to other Parties.
Such as those who went to UKIP.

This is a mess but I think both main Parties need a full and totally independent investigation into them for anti semitism, xenophobia and racism.

Not investigate themselves.

I hate to say this but no Major political Party can be trusted to investigate itself on these issues.
Just my view, however for me it results in a token lip service to the issue and possible whitewashing in play too.

I hope Luciana and her constituency reconcile and that she is able, within the Labour Party to continue to fight for the great causes she does and believes in.

Exactly. The Conservative Association that suspended her now needs an investigation and possibly a change of Executive Council.

How many more instances does the Labour party need to prove they're not dealing with the problem?

The worst thing about this whole situation is that so many Labour supporters are in denial.

I got into trouble (of a sort) on here for referring to Corbyn and his clique as Red Nazis. Seems that statement is nearer the truth than even I realised.
