of course they do have immunity, most shops staff are youth, not among risk groups

they just shouldn't socialize after work and go immediately home, no contacts among staff either

Isn’t he asking what you’d do if the officer isn’t wearing a mask... not the staff

A shopper could go to multiple places in one shopping trip but a shopworker will remain in the one shop where they work. Customers have a higher risk of carrying the virus since they'll go to more places than an employee which is why customers have to wear masks. It's common sense, really.

Ideally everyone should wear masks but when it comes down to it, the staff should be okay not to if the customers follow the rules.

“Police officers will socially distance where possible and Personal Protective Equipment will be worn when necessary. It is up to each individual officer to decide whether PPE should be used in any given situation. Face coverings can be a barrier to communication and we will be careful about how and when we wear them.”

Legislation requiring people in England to wear face coverings on public transport includes an exemption for police

Well I would be a bit annoyed tbh because I’d be thinking “does the law not apply to them?”

I have always worn one....it seems to me the police are exempt from catching covid..perhaps they have super powers hidden in the uniform that makes them non members of the public.

Oh yes I’ve read thanks. Maybe you should have a read of it too? You might find out why the staff aren’t wearing masks either

I've never yet come across, in shop or store, any Police officers not wearing a facecovering in it.

Although I haven't come across many.

In a normal setting, where they were just shopping, not dealing with any incident for instance.
Then I'd express surprise to any, that they weren't adhering to the ruling that facecoverings had to be worn in shops and stores.

That talks about transport, are police also exempt from wearing masks in shops?

Is that a BP on the A12 Parm, its a regular police stop, most of them don’t wear masks, they are on a break so should do the same as the rest of us and wear one
