I saw the footage on Sky today and played it several times in slow motion.

In fact, the gun was pointing directly at the protester before he tried to hit the cop's arm with the bar. When he did swing the bar the footage clearly shows that the bar hit the loose sleeve of the police officer, rather than his arm. Having played it in slow motion, I had to question if the protester aimed a blow at the policeman's arm out of fear because the gun was pointing at his chest.

The truth is, the violence on both sides is unpleasant to witness, and I'm sure that in those chaotic moments of stress and fear, instinct for survival wins out over thought and reason. In this particular case, I can, therefore, see the reason behind the reactions on both sides.

However, having said that, there is clearly evidence of unnecessary police violence emerging.

Edited Footage

Early on that day
CNN HD showed a longer version of the Footage
the Cop was Hit Hard fast
then the Cop puled the Gun Out
that's all you now see.

Sorry, Arista. I respect your views are different to mine but you need to back them up with facts. I've watched the footage repeatedly and played it in slow motion, and what you say here isn't truthful.

A female student has been found dead in the sea, She was 15 years old, an active protester and was found completely naked. She was also a capable swimmer who led her school's swimming team.

But let's pretend that the HK police force are being killed by these protestors although not one police officer has been reported as such. Gotta keep China happy!

The Hong Kong police are a gang of thugs that have raped and abused civilians whether they are protesters or not. There's reports that a sixteen year old girl has been gang raped by the police, they're attacking people going about their daily lives and more, it's disgusting.

The police themselves are making Hong Kong a lawless state controlled by violence and abuse.

The far more interesting question is why are you ignoring what I said about the Hong Kong police, do you think that gang rape is acceptable as long as it's done by the group you support?

Is it even known that it's a protester? There are pro-China factions looking to undermine the protesters so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was one of them. If not then that protester should face charges alongside the Hong Kong police for wanton abuse.

Now your turn, why are you supporting a group that is raping and abusing people it should be protecting? Go on, answer the question, stop ducking and diving out of the way of it and answer the question.

To support China is to support human rights abuse, to support censorship and the destruction of free speech and rights, by standing with the police, you are supporting a regime that employs concentration camps in which rape, abuse and organ harvesting is rife.

These links are the results of a ten minute google and reddit search and this is just a fraction of the stuff being reported. It's not that you can't find a link, it's that you don't want to because you've adopted a pro-china stance and you don't want that challenged. You are supporting Evil, Arista.

This isn't even some of the worst stuff I've seen when it comes to the police brutality. I've been trying to find articles about the police officers that tried to remove a protester's eye ball but have been unable to do so.

Don't stand with China or the Hong Kong police, they are not the heroes of this story.
