Default Have you put the heating on yet?

I'm determined to leave it as late as possible and so far that's been fine as it's been fairly mild but today was the first day I felt rather chilly and very tempted, went and got a second jumper instead. Of course you can always keep putting extra layers on but it's not very pleasant being in a cold room and that chill is still on your face. I'll try go a couple more weeks though then I probs will start putting the heating on a bit

yeah, my heating is on, it was off during the warm spell, but now its back on. I have a fixed priced deal for my gas which is a steal given current prices

Iv not (save the bathroom towel rail). Its 4 C outside now and will be around
-2C at 4 am.

This afternoon was around 8C and that is when my hands get a bit cold. Next
week it gets mild again so I cant see me putting it on in the next fortnight
unless my girls are here, the boy just gets a hot water bottle and he is grand.
When the daytime temps get below 8 C I will relent and stick a radiator in the
room i am in, on. At night (very warm fleecy quilt) and in morning when I get up im not bothered at all as im moving around.

2 hours per night...30 minutes before tea time and a hearty meal.

Switch off 1.5 hours later..

Make sure all curtains are drawn, doors closed, and radiators turned off in the rooms you won't be going in.

Nice furry blankly for the drifting off snooze after tea..

Purrfection. If theres no big bangs.

I read this article about the potential fire danger when using electric heaters to heat rooms.

We live in lean times indeed but not freezing to death or turning into anthropomorphic ice-blocks is a basic human right. Obviously the heating’s on at this point.
