I really don't get people like this.

Nobody is forced into owning pets. If you can't deal with them, don't have them. So selfish and unfair on the animals.

Hitting or getting aggressive with any dog leads to a dog that is unpredictable and snappy. If that's a little terrier someone's going to get a nasty bite on the fingers. If it's a large dog like this, it could end with someone being SEVERELY maimed or even killed.

It's WORSE because it's a dog like this. So unbelievably reckless.

Reckless for her...

But a dog that size needs to know it can't jump up on people...it jumped..and was bounding about her, licking her hands..wanting to play...it needs to know that it can't do that when she doesn't want it to.

At no.point was that dog harmed, that was just her idiotic nature coming out...I mean spitting on a dog, wtf..but if you did what she was trying to do in a more controlled and consistent manner that dog would be fine...

But I'm 100 percent certain at no point that dog felt scared or in danger.

Dangerous for anyone that comes into contact with the dog. You show a dog aggression, it learns aggression. It's that simple. Get a dog and keep hitting it in the face and one day I guarantee it will hurt someone... and it probably won't be the person hitting it because it'll be subservient to that person. It'll be another dog that gets mauled, or a stranger in the street, or someone's kid at the park.

Not even when she just pointed at him and he flinched and jumped backwards?

That's not the way to do it. Aggressive methods of training have been abandoned long time ago bc they do more harm than good.
If the dog jumps you say no in a firm voice, turn away and ignore it. Not shove, kick and spit, jfc

Not a doberman but my aunt has 2 Rottweilers and they are like big teddy bears and yes they were like bulls in a China shop when they were pups but you can discipline an animal of any size without violence.

Saw this the other day but never watched the actual video until now. Gross & really strange/sadistic that she's even getting that frustrated about her dog just jumping around and what not (and that her entire personality/demeanor changes so quickly as well)

Also there's no way she just happened to be acting this way on the one clip she uploads the raw footage of by mistake... it must be a constant thing which.. poor dog

...I read that she’s had death threats..sadly it was inevitable..I never understand the stance of those who behave in a worse way than the subject of their outrage...she’s obviously going to lose her career and income as a Youtuber and has lost any respect of affection she may have had...and hopefully she’ll never be a pet owner again ...or at least for a very long time if her ownership in the future was somehow supervised and monitored...the worst thing would have been that this vid was never accidentally uploaded and that she had continued to parent that powerful dog in that way...I shudder what the outcome could have been...

I refuse to watch the video. I will just say that it takes a lot of sequential "accidents" for a video to end up uploaded and available for public viewing .... not one.

I mean, why has no-one questioned why she was videoing what she did to her dog in the first place

She was trying to do her you tubing into the camera bit the dog kept leaping up at her wanting to play... she spat on it...whilst disciplining it.

well, see it's not a difficult thing to hit pause on the video, it's also not difficult to cut a segment out of the video.

To me, she was looking to create a bit of controversy, that's what youtubers do when their reach gets static

Could forum members get a sense of perspective? People are killing dogs for food and skinning them alive for their fur they are doing the same thing to cats.

What she is doing is wrong but she is not smashing it in the head with a hammer.

Actually this is true,I haven't watched the video as Im sure I would be furious,as I hate animal cruelty of any kind and you are right the dogs ,cats that are killed for food literally DO get smashed in the head, there are sadly so many vile individuals about.

tend to agree, find it odd she uploaded it 'by accident'

She was filming a video about life with a new dog, or something on those lines, and that’s why he was there and it was filmed.

And from my understanding, she uploaded the raw footage instead of the edited video, and that’s how it ended up online.

Anyway, I too find it odd that she uploaded this. Was it a live broadcast? If not strange that she didn't at least edit it out if not pause the recording to inflict her abuse on that poor animal.
